WELCOME back after the 2 month break since the last Club meeting which saw 300 competitors at the track in March which was the largest race entry the Club had seen for many and welcome Competitors for the THIRD HKRC 2009 HKRC Club Championship round of the 50th Anniversary year meeting . So with the adjustment of the HKRC 2009 Club Championship There are 9 Championship rounds with only 8 to count for the 2009 Championship. The February meeting will be classified as a “ non racing meeting” and will not affect the drop round rule.

The MAY Race Meeting will now return to 3 HEATS and a FINAL for each kart class. The May Meeting also is hosting the SUPER 4 round for the 125 ABkC . The 125 Gentleman’s Challenge class is also gaining interest. Contact our Competition Secretary for details.

RACE ENTRIES. Please would competitor’s application for race weekends be sent early to enable the competition secretary more time to prepare for the race weekend.

Preparations have started for 50TH ANNIVERSARY year for Hunts Kart Racing Club with the Club members in the forefront of our Plans. The race calendar that can be seen on the HKRC website and in the membership packs and the club 2009 charges have not been increased. HKRC have be hosed the first round of the Formula Kart Stars first round in April ,and then hosting two 0 plates for both TKM and super 4 to name just a few of the additional championships joining HKRC throughout 2009.

JUNE 2009 -13TH/14TH EAST ANGLIAN 5OTH ANNIVERSARY RACE WEEKEND with a very special race format- information to be announced. Race for the class trophy title of EAST ANGLIAN CHAMPION.

RACE ENTRY FORMS ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR JUNE ANNIVERSARY MEETING

CIRCUIT ONE will be used for the MAY race meeting. Circuit Two will be brought back into use once additional circuit work has been completed which is planned for July and August. ALL PITBAY holders issued with a permit must display to enable the Club to ensure that competitors are parked in their correct bays. The permits will be handed out by HKRC officials or can be collected in race control over the race weekend. All Tarmac bays have been hired for 2009 and there are presently only a few concrete bays available for weekend rent or annual hire

VACANT PIT BAYS can be rented for £20 per weekend, please visit race control for availability

TYRE DISPOSAL. Tyres are still being left on site at race meetings. This is a situation that doesn’t appear to be improving. The Club has repeatedly asked that you as competitors to take tyres with you. The club incur costs for disposal and WILL have to pass onto you as competitors. Please take the tyres with you or pay a £3 fee per set of tyres to any of the kart traders or the maintenance team who will be able to dispose of them. Over the May weekend HKRC Officials will be walking around the paddock checking on tyre disposal.

Please come and join us for an exciting celebration of HKRC’s 50th Anniversary Year, and the rejuvenation of the annual East Anglian Trophy – this year incorporating a round of the WTP Championship. There will be two full days of on track action for all classes - including a historic kart demonstrations and display area. Special guests throughout the weekend, and opportunities to catch up with old friends. Additional sponsor

gifts and special prizes, such as ‘Driver of the Day’ will be awarded in addition to class trophies. On Saturday evening there will be a hog roast with live entertainment. Class entries will be limited to 34 to ensure

excellent track time and value for money – so get your entries in quick!

WEEKEND RACE FORMAT:Scrutineering - Friday evening and Saturday morning

SATURDAY3 practice sessions for each class, followed by

Qualifying (10 mins per class) Heat 1 (8 mins + 1 lap)

SUNDAYHeat 2 (8 mins + 1 lap)

Pre-final (10 mins + 1 lap) Grand Final (15 mins + 1 lap)

Prestigious East Anglian Trophy class trophies, and a perpetual shield for class winners up for grabs!

All inclusive entry fee of £75 (including East Anglian Trophy race weekend memento)

This really is great value for money – a total of 51 minutes + 4 laps of competitive track action!!
