This monthly progress report (MPR)summarizes environmental restorationactivities conducted by the Navy at HuntersPoint Shipyard (HPS) during June 2005. ThisMPR is prepared in accordance with the HPSFederal Facility Agreement, Section 6.6. TheMPR is presented in three sections: Section1.0, Parcel Updates, summarizes keyactivities at each parcel completed during thepast month and planned for the upcoming 2months; Section 2.0, Schedule, identifiessubmittals, meetings, and field activitiescompleted during the past month and plannedfor the upcoming 2 months; Section 3.0, Other,is intended for special announcements,changes in personnel, basewide issues, orother topics that are not included in Sections1.0 or 2.0; Section 3 appears in this MPR onlywhen needed.

1.0 PARCEL UPDATESThis section summarizes key activities at each parcelcompleted during the past month and planned for theupcoming 2 months.

1.1 PARCEL BThe activities completed during June 2005 and plannedfor the upcoming 2 months at Parcel B are summarizedbelow.

♦ Continue to prepare the draft work plan for theinvestigation of groundwater and soil gas at ParcelsB and C.

♦ Continue to prepare the draft technical memoran-dum in support of a Record of Decision amend-ment.

♦ Finalize the final quarterly groundwater report withresponses to comments (RTCs) for July to Sep-tember 2004. Prepare the draft quarterly ground-water monitoring report for January to March 2005.Continue preparing the draft annual groundwatermonitoring report. Complete field work for the Aprilto June 2005 quarterly groundwater monitoringreport.

♦ Continue to implement the work plan for the follow-on (Phase III) soil vapor extraction (SVE) treatabilitystudy.

July to August 2005 Activities at Parcel B

♦ Submit the draft work plan for the investigation ofgroundwater and soil gas at Parcels B and C.

♦ Continue to prepare the draft annual groundwatermonitoring report.

♦ Submit the draft summary report for the treatabilitystudy using sequential anaerobic and aerobicbioremediation at Building 134.
