This monthly progress report (MPR) summarizes environmental restoration activities conducted by the Navy at Hunters Point Shipyard (HPS) during June 2005. This MPR is prepared in accordance with the HPS Federal Facility Agreement, Section 6.6. The MPR is presented in three sections: Section 1.0, Parcel Updates, summarizes key activities at each parcel completed during the past month and planned for the upcoming 2 months; Section 2.0, Schedule, identifies submittals, meetings, and field activities completed during the past month and planned for the upcoming 2 months; Section 3.0, Other, is intended for special announcements, changes in personnel, basewide issues, or other topics that are not included in Sections 1.0 or 2.0; Section 3 appears in this MPR only when needed. 1.0 PARCEL UPDATES This section summarizes key activities at each parcel completed during the past month and planned for the upcoming 2 months. 1.1 PARCEL B The activities completed during June 2005 and planned for the upcoming 2 months at Parcel B are summarized below. June 2005 Activities Continue to prepare the draft work plan for the investigation of groundwater and soil gas at Parcels B and C. Continue to prepare the draft technical memoran- dum in support of a Record of Decision amend- ment. Finalize the final quarterly groundwater report with responses to comments (RTCs) for July to Sep- tember 2004. Prepare the draft quarterly ground- water monitoring report for January to March 2005. Continue preparing the draft annual groundwater monitoring report. Complete field work for the April to June 2005 quarterly groundwater monitoring report. Continue to implement the work plan for the follow- on (Phase III) soil vapor extraction (SVE) treatability study. July to August 2005 Activities at Parcel B Submit the draft work plan for the investigation of groundwater and soil gas at Parcels B and C. Continue to prepare the draft annual groundwater monitoring report. Submit the draft summary report for the treatability study using sequential anaerobic and aerobic bioremediation at Building 134. ♦ Continue to prepare the draft work plan for theinvestigation of groundwater and soil gas at ParcelsB and C.

♦ Continue to prepare the draft technical memoran-dum in support of a Record of Decision amend-ment.

♦ Finalize the final quarterly groundwater report withresponses to comments (RTCs) for July to Sep-tember 2004. Prepare the draft quarterly ground-water monitoring report for January to March 2005.Continue preparing the draft annual groundwatermonitoring report. Complete field work for the Aprilto June 2005 quarterly groundwater monitoringreport.

♦ Continue to implement the work plan for the follow-on (Phase III) soil vapor extraction (SVE) treatabilitystudy.

July to August 2005 Activities at Parcel B

♦ Submit the draft work plan for the investigation ofgroundwater and soil gas at Parcels B and C.
