8 night tourCome and experience the joy of swimming with one of theocean's greatest creatures. Once you arrive in Tonga, we’llarrange for a transfer to take you straight to the hotel near theairport for a rest, and then the next day, you will fly over toHa’apai where all the magic happens, and the fun begins. Youwill then spend 7 nights in a beautiful secluded eco resort seton the island of Uoleva, which is considered one of the mostbeautiful islands in the Tongan group. It sits along the easternbarrier reef of Ha'apai and takes 3 hours to walk around thewhole island. You will have 5 days out on the boat swimmingwith the majestic humpback whales, a memory that will lastyou for a lifetime. You will also have access to kayaks, paddleboards, an awesome reef out the front to snorkel in, or justreading a book on the beach. This eco resort is also a worldrenowned kite surfing spot, so if you are a keen kite surfer,this is one for you, or even as a beginner, a perfect place foryour first lesson!

U'Oleva is a very remote island. There are no shops, noroads, no nightlife. All food is grown or bought and it mostlycomes from Nuku'alofa, so via the ferry once a week. There isnot a lot of access to the a lot of the niceties that are availablein first world countries, but don't fret, your stay will be madeas comfortable as possible, and the hosts are top notch! Thefales are some of the most comfortable and beautiful inTonga. Please note that if you are expecting a pool with acocktail bar, this is not the place for you. If you are expectingto get away from the hustle and bustle of your busy life andrelax in a tranquil environment that boasts absolutelybeautiful beaches and of course the majestic experience ofswimming with humpback whales, then this is definitely theplace for you. This eco resort only has four bungalows, so our group willhave it to ourselves for the whole week.

- Do I need to be able to scuba dive? No not for this trip, we will be snorkeling with the whales. There is also a really nice reef out the front of the bungalows that you can snorkel. - Do I need bring my own snorkel gear? We do offer free hire for snorkels, fins and wetsuits, however we highly recommend to bring your own if possible as it will be more comfortable and fitted -What food is included?All main meals are included, you will need to just buy your own snacks and drinks

-How do I pay for my snacks and drinks? You can pay at the end via credit card -What is the weather like? It will be Tonga's winter when the whales arrive. Thedays can be quite warm, usually sitting somewherebetween 24-28 degrees Celsius but you must also beprepared for some colder weather -How many hours are spent on the boat and wheredoes the boat leave from? The boat leaves from out the front of the resort. It isjust a quick walk. You will be on the boat for usuallyabout 5 hours each day

-What are our chances of swimming with whales? They are wild animals so we can never give 100%guarantee but we do everything possible to maximisethe chance of swimming with them. We do 5 days onthe water for this reason. We can say that so far wehave never taken a tour that hasn't swam with thewhales and some even swim on all 5 days. So thechances are high. - Seeing as the island is popular for kite surfing, doesthis mean that it's quite windy? The eco resort is located on the leeward side of theisland with lots of trees in between the resort and thewind. The trade winds come from the south east andthe resort is located on the west side, so it is has thebest of both worlds.

Before your tour, we will be providing you with adetailed trip bulletin and itinerary, but here is somesuggestions of what to bring... Beach towels (bath towels provided), toiletries,sunscreen, insect repellent, medications,headlamps/torches, rash vests, hats, reef shoes, rashvest or shorties. Mosquito nets are provided in thefales.

The accommodation on this beautiful remote island has many naturaltimbers to create a stunning South Pacific hideaway. You will becaptivated by the romantic soft diffused lighting, exquisite ensuitebathrooms with hot solar showers and composting toilets, top quality linenand bedding including memory foam mattresses. Sit and watch the aquablue water and whales passing on your own private verandah. For your comfort each fale has its own dedicated solar power system(12v). you will have the comforts you require whilst still remaining way offthe beaten track. The fales are all beachfront and are on raised stilts togive you stunning elevated views. They are constructed entirely of timberincluding the beautiful exposed cedar roofs. You won't find airconditioned fales on the island of Ha'apai but your accommodation willalways remain comfortable no matter what the temperature is.
