Summertime is playtime for the youngest members of the hummel family as the Kids Lifestyle collection for spring/summer 2015 embraces the brightest time of the year to its fullest. The mischievous spirit of the hummel kids takes centre stage in a super fun collection for girls and boys, where cool street art and awesome sports come alive in the surroundings of the city as well as the beach. Proving that the world really is your playground, the casualwear collection easily combines fun and function in a package of cool garments in vibrant colours and graphics.

Cute monsters are the stars of the show in the boys’ collection, which features grafitti motifs of the slimy little creatures on t-shirts. They go hand-in-hand with the theme of street soccer, which injects more than a little action into the collection in the shape of sweatshirts with big soccer bee logos, soccer ball motifs and heritage number prints. These look neatly retro next to coolly casual sweatpants and hummel’s trademark chevrons and multi-coloured stripes which are featured throughout the chiefly blue and sea green boys’ collection.

There’s happiness all around in the girls’ collection. The urban street art of the boys’ collection is re-placed by seaside playtime where pretty cut-paper collages form the main motifs for a fun, fresh collec-tion. The little pieces of art are transformed into girly prints on t-shirts and multi-coloured hummel bees on dresses. Splashes of colour define the girls’ collec-tion, and happy slogans and graphic stripes add an extra touch of relaxed summer fun. In the girls’ gym collection, a bubblegum pink gym suit with a navy tutu skirt and matching body make for an energetic ensemble. Add a pair of stripy leggings in blazing orange, and the hummel girls are the coolest kids on the block!

Mixing natural elements such as stone surfaces and graphic florals with camouflage and sporty street vibes, the collection sums up hummel’s old school heritage vibe in a playful but raw fusion. With its cool artwork and casual fit, Tween Lifestyle is flexible, functional and durable, making it ideal for an active summer of street life, holidays and hanging out with your friends. It’s youthful retro, bold attitude and effortless stylishness all wrapped in one.

Nature gets a cool makeover as the girls’ collection takes in the summer air with a bright and breezy string of styles. Mixing nature’s harder elements with the soft features such as all-over marble prints and rose effects on sweatshirts and pants, shorts, hood-ies and zip-through jackets are made girly next to a pretty rose print on a pink t-shirt and neat heritage number motifs. hummel’s famous bee logo lends itself perfectly to the nature theme and appears in a graphic stencil print on a striped t-shirt. The meeting between nature’s many different elements creates a casual street vibe where bright colours take charge.

hummel’s boys can confidently claim to wear the smarty pants this season, at least if their print is any-thing to go by. Getting anatomical, the actual pattern of the human brain is converted into a cool camou-flage print on logo sweatshirts and zip-through jack-ets: It makes for a sporty street look with a big nod to hummel’s 70s heritage, backed up by a geometrical two-tone green and black jacket with chevrons. The old school buttons are likewise pushed with a bot-tle top motif on a grey melange sweatshirt, which goes perfectly with casual cool blue sweatpants that feature white chevrons down the inner seam. This is a boy who’s brainy in more ways than one.

Embracing the vibrant colours of Hawaii and cool summer street vibes, the tween boys’ collection offers up swimpants in all-over multicolour prints or vivid graphic tonal details in brilliant blue or blazing orange that could only ever stand out on the beach.
