In order to complete a submission for Humans of Kent County, you will need to create an video recording or video of your interview.
In the following pages, we’ll look at how to create, transcribe and submit your video recordings.

Open up your camera app.
Change the function to “Video.”
Press the red button to begin recording.

To stop recording, click the red square at the bottom of the screen.
To access your video, click on the photo icon.

Click on the video you just made to open the file.
To submit a piece, you will need to choose a quote from your subject. 1 to 3 sentences is best, but in some rare cases, a longer quote may be appropriate. To play back, click on the saved file, then click the play button. You will need to write down your subject’s quote so that you can enter it when you upload to the blog.
Video for iPhoneAfter you are finished transcribing your quotation, you will need to submit the original video. Click on the “Share” icon at the bottom of the screen. Choose an email service to send the file.

Send your video file to [email protected]. Include your subject’s name and the date of the interview on the subject line and press send as follows:

Note that you can’t change the name of a video file in your iPhone so it is important to get the name correct.
You are now ready to submit to the Humans of Kent County Blog.
Note: You can also attach a picture of your subject’s signed release directly to the email.
