We’ve had lots of CRAZY weather the past few months, but let’s hope that Fall is here and we are ready to have some fun and special events! They set up the last Saturday of every month at the Humane Society Flea The Flea Market is having a 50% OFF SALE on Friday, Sept. 28 8:30-Noon & Saturday, Sept. 29 10:00 - 1:00. Please plan to attend. We will have lots of Holiday items. Everything in the store will be on sale!! We are located on Warehouse Road near the Oak Ridge Animal Shelter and across the street from Atlas Van Lines. The flea market is manned by an all volunteer staff, and all merchandise sold comes to us as donations from the community. The Oak Ridge Animal Shelter, located on Ware-house Road in Oak Ridge, is operated by the City of Oak Ridge. Call for hours of operation 865-425-3423.Listed below are items needed by the Oak Ridge Animal Shelter:• Canned Dog Food• Kitten Chow• Cat Litter• Cleaning Supplies (any kind - bleach, detergent, etc.)• Collapsable metal crates. Dogs love to go for car rides. For many dogs, their favorite words are “bye-bye”. I’ve seen dogs jump, prance, smile and bark with delight at the thought of a car ride. How many times have you seen dogs hanging out the car window? Or on the owners lap looking as happy as can be? Yes, going for a ride in the car can be fun, but driving with dogs can also be very dangerous to both you and your dog. I recently talked to some owners that were in an accident – caused by their dog – in which they were injure

Last years Pet Fest & Blessing was a huge success. We plan on having a better time this year.The Humane Society will be selling Hot Dogs, BBQ, Drinks, Chips, T-Shirts and More! We will have a Raffel with some really great prizes.As you can see, S.N.A.C.K. was working the crowds last year by our booth (blue tent) and he plans to be there again this year. Please plan to attend this year!
