Dear Parents/CaregiversNga mihi kia koutou katoa.
ENROLMENTS FOR 2015Annually the Board of Trustees reviews places for student enrolment for the coming year. After con-sidering this years stabilisation of our roll num-bers, the pattern of pre-enrolments for 2015 and the likely impact of the new school to the north, the Board moved at their August meeting to ac-cept new entrant enrolments for 2015 of siblings of current pupils (Priority 2 of our enrolment scheme). Enrolment means the date the child starts school.Leanne ReynoldsBoard of Trustees Chairperson

HUKANUI CROSS COUNTRY DAYCross country running is not an optional activity it is part of our PE curriculum. We expect all chil-dren to come prepared to run on the day unless they have a genuine reason and a signed note from home. If your child is sick then they should stay at home. It has been great to see the vast majority of children giving it their best in practices over the last few weeks. Now finally race day has
arrived and cross country races for all classes in the school will be on the same day, Tues-day 26 August. The approximate order of races for the day are as follows; Racing for Year 5 and 6 starts at 9.15 am with the year 5 girls, year 5 boys, year 6 girls and lastly year 6 boys finishing by 10.30 am. The year 3 and 4 racing starts at 11.00 am with the year 3 girls, year 3 boys, year 4 girls and lastly year 4 boys finishing before 12.30 pm. The Junior classes will start their races as soon as pos-sible after 1.30 pm. Please feel welcome to come along and support your child to do their best.
