Since 2001 Huawei has started IEEE 802.16

standard tracking and key technology

research. Being a principal member of IEEE

Standard Organization and WiMAX Forum,

Huawei has contributed 5% core technology

related patents. In April 2005, Huawei signed

a cooperation partner agreement with Intel to
