HUALAPAI YOUTH CAMP BUILDINGS: ADDENDUM NO. 2
Date: December 10, 2014 Hualapai Youth Camp Buildings Intersection of I.R. 17 and I.R. 13, Hualapai Indian Reservation, Arizona The original Contract Documents are modified or interpreted as stated herein. Receipt of this Addendum shall be acknowledged by inserting its number and date in the space provided on the Bid Form. Failure to acknowledge may subject bidder to disqualification. This Addendum becomes part of the Specifications and the contract for General Construction. Addendum 2 consists of fifteen (15) pages, including attachments. GENERAL This Addendum is the second to be issued for the Hualapai Youth Camp Buildings project. This Addendum #2:
1. Modifies Section 01040 – Bid Form 2. Modifies Section 01220 – Bid Alternates 3. Answers General Questions 4. Provides Water and Sewer Line Connection Distances 5. Provides a manufacturer and model number for stack washer/ dryers 6. Modifies Laundry/ Restroom Cover Sheet 7. Provides Laundry/ Restroom Sheet A1.2 8. Provides a clarification to the Pavilion/ Laundry Restroom Hardie Plank Specifications
This Addendum #2 is being forwarded to all registered Bidders and Plan Rooms. If a Contractor (Bidder) has distributed sets of plans to subcontractors, the Contractor (Bidder) is solely responsible for forwarding this Addendum #2 to applicable subcontractors. Any additional submitted RFI’s and Substitution Requests received from Contractors will be answered in a future Addendum #3, due to be issued on or after 12/15/14. BIDDING REQUIREMENTS, CONTRACT FORMS, AND CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT
1. Section 01040 – Bid Form (Attachment A). This form has been modified to include Bid Alternate 1.
2. Section 01220 – Bid Alternates (Attachment B). This section has been modified to include Bid
Alternate 1. GENERAL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1. I cannot find a completion time indicated on the construction documents, please provide?
No completion time is provided in the Bidding Documents. A proposed scheduled must be submitted by each bidder. The schedule of the Apparent Low Bidder will be reviewed to determine if it is reasonable and acceptable.

2. Is a wet system required at the laundry/rr & pavilion structure? If so, same info? Riser location, line
in & sizing?
Fire sprinklers systems are not required for the Laundry/ Restroom building and the Pavilion.
3. What is fire line location (tie-in), sizing, etc?
Per Addendum 1, the fire riser shall be located on west wall of Storage Room 107. The fire line is 4” diameter. Distance based off Attachment C.
4. What are water and sewer tie-in distances?

PART 1 - GENERAL 1.01 ALTERNATE BIDS
A. Selection of a General Contractor for this project will be based solely on the submitted Base Bid, as stated in the Instructions to Bidders (Document 01020).
B. Any Alternate quoted on the Bid Form (Document 01040) will be reviewed
and accepted or rejected at the Owner's option, following selection of the General Contractor for this project. Selection may also be based on negotiations that follow the selection process.
C. A Separate line is included on the Bid Form for any alternate listed below.
Any accepted Alternate will be identified in the Owner-Contractor Agreement (Form of Construction Contract; Document 01180).
D. Coordinate related work and modify surrounding work as required.
E. Alternates:
1. Bunk House - Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services
necessary for the installation of HardiePlank Lap Siding, Select Cedarmill, as manufactured by James Hardie, in lieu of 2x8 T&G wood siding, color by owner. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the installation of Hardie Soffit Panels, Non-Vented Cedarmill, as manufactured by James Hardie, in lieu of 2x6 T&G wood soffit planks, color by owner.
