HDMI 1.4a Support for 3D Video andAudio Return Channel
The three HDMI 1.4a inputs on the HT-S3300s A/Vreceiver let you
simultaneously connect high-defsources such as a Blu-ray player, a
gaming console,and a cable/satellite tuner. A single output
thensends a pristine signal to your connected high-resolution
display. As the latest version of thisconnector, HDMI 1.4a adds the
exciting possibilitiesof 3D video and an Audio Return Channel.

video is the next big thing in home entertainment,with movie,
game, and broadcast content on theincrease and 3D-compatible TVs on
the nearhorizon. This system also offers the convenience ofan Audio
Return Channel via HDMI. Audio contentreceived directly by your
HDTVs tuner can be sentupstream to the A/V receiver, without the
needfor a separate S/PDIF audio cable.
Decoding of High-Definition Surround-Sound Codecs
The HT-S3300s A/V receiver can decode Dolby
TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audiotwo losslessformats that enable
delivery of a bit-for-bitsoundtrack identical to the studio master
track.These codecs, previously available only on mid-rangeand
high-end receivers, take advantage of the highdata capacity of the
Blu-ray format.
Convenient Overlaid On-Screen Displayvia HDMI
Changing your A/V receivers settings is now moreseamless than
ever, thanks to Onkyos new overlaidOn-Screen Display (OSD) feature.
On-screen set-upmenus appear overlaid on the video image
yourewatching. This means you can adjust the settingsimmediately,
without having to switch back and forthfrom a blank screen
background.

High-quality Burr-Brown DACs (PCM1690) workto optimize analog
audio performance on theHT-S3300s A/V receiver. These DACs
performadvanced 24-bit signal processing and supportsampling rates
of up to 192 kHz, while displayinghigh resistance to clock jitter
and offering a 113 dBdynamic range.
EX.Bass for Deeper, More Dynamic Bass
Onkyos proprietary EX.Bass function boosts low-frequency output
at two separate points: 40 Hz and80 Hz. At low volumes, EX.Bass
creates a deeper,more dynamic bass sound for your music andmovies.
When the volume is turned up high, theboosted bass automatically
returns to normal levels.

The HT-S3300 comes with three Audysseytechnologies.
(1) Audyssey EQ automates the speaker-configuration process and
