High loudspeaker levels can cause permanent hearing damage. You shouldtherefore avoid the direct vicinity of loudspeakers operating at high levels. Wearhearing protection if continuously exposed to high levels.

Features

The HT-5TH is the ultimate studio and practice amp, packing all the great toneand innovative features of the award-winning HT valve pedals into a two channel,footswitchable valve amp format. The patented ISF (Innite Shape Feature) circuitgives you innite adjustment over the characteristics of the tone control networkand takes you from the USA to the UK and anywhere in between. So now youcan effectively design your own tone and nally nd the sound in your head. Inmaking the HT-5TH ideally suited to home and studio use, the aim was to developa valve amp which sounded full and toneful even at the lowest volume level. Withthis in mind the Blackstar design team designed a brand new valve power ampliertopology. The HT-5TH power amplier is a low powered push-pull design whichproduces the crunch and break-up characteristics of a traditional 100W outputstage but at a much lower volume. This is achieved by the use of a 12BH7 dualtriode in push-pull conguration producing 5 Watts output, which is rich in valveharmonics and compression.

The HT-5TH also has a fully specied stereo speaker emulated output which furtherenhances the studio credentials and allows any guitarist to get amazing valvetone straight to tape or disk, or through headphones. It also features the unique4x12/1x12 voicing switch allowing you to change the tonal characteristics of theemulated signal between two emulated cabinet types.

The stereo speaker emulated output can be used at the same time as the internalspeaker/extension cab, providing headphone free monitoring or the choice to blenda micd speaker and emulated signal together for unrivalled usability when recordingat home or in the studio. In addition the speaker output can be turned off for silentpractice or recording.

Add to this an effects loop with switchable level, 16 and 8 speaker outputswhich allow you to run the amp into an external speaker cabinet of your choice, astereo MP3/Line in allowing you to jam along to your favourite tracks and you haveeverything you need for recording or practising.

10. Treble (OD Channel)

The Treble control allows exact adjustment of the treble frequencies within thesound. At low settings (CCW) the sound will be warm and darker in character. As theTreble control is increased (CW) the sound will become brighter. At the maximumsettings the sound will be aggressive and cutting.

11. ISF (Infnite Shape Feature)

The ISF control works in conjunction with the Bass, Middle and Treble controls. Itallows you to choose the exact tonal signature you prefer. Fully CCW has a moreAmerican characteristic with a tight bottom end and more aggressive middle, andfully CW has a British characteristic which is more woody and less aggressive.

12. Reverb (HT-5R and HT-5RH only)

The Reverb control sets the overall level of the reverb effect. With the control fullycounter clockwise there will be no reverb. Turning the control clockwise will increasethe amount of reverb. The HT-5R features digital stereo reverb as found on the HT

Venue Series and HT-1R adding a rich depth to any playing style.

13. Power Indicator Light

The power indicator will light when the amplier is switched on.

14. Standby

This switch enables the operation of the power amp stage and speaker output.Always turn this on at least 30 seconds af ter the Power switch (15). For silentrecording or practise this switch should be put in the standby position. This willdisable the power stage, but the emulated output will continue to work.

15. Power

This switch is used to turn the amplier on and off. You should always turn thisswitch on before turning on the Standby switch (14).

Rear Panel

1. Mains Input

The supplied detachable mains lead is connected here. The lead should onlybe connected to a power outlet that is compatible with the voltage, power and

frequency requirements stated on the rear panel. If in doubt get advice from aqualied technician.

2. Speaker Outputs

The output marked 1x16 Ohm is for the connection of a single 16 Ohm externalspeaker cabinet. The outputs marked 1x8 Ohm or 2x16 Ohm are for the connection

Front Panel

1. Input

Plug your guitar in here. Always use a good quality screened guitar lead.

2. Clean Volume

This controls the volume of the Clean Channel. Turning it clockwise increasesthe volume.

3. Clean Tone

The Tone control allows adjustment of the balance between treble and bassfrequencies within the sound. At low settings (counter clockwise) the sound will bewarmer and darker in character. As the Tone control is rotated clockwise the soundwill become brighter.

4. Overdrive Select

Press this switch to select the Overdrive Channel.

5. Overdrive Indicator

When the red LED is on the Overdrive Channel is selected. When the LED is off theClean Channel is in operation.

6. Overdrive Gain

The Gain control adjusts the amount of the Overdrive Channels overdrive ordistortion. Low settings, counter clockwise (CCW), will deliver a clean sound onthe edge of break-up. As the Gain control is increased clockwise (CW) the soundwill become more overdriven moving through crunch tones until, at its maximumposition, a full distorted lead tone is arrived at.

7. Overdrive Volume

This controls the volume of the Overdrive Channel. Turning it clockwise increasesthe volume.

8. Bass (OD Channel)

The Bass control adjusts the amount of low end frequencies in your tone. This amphas an advanced tone shaping circuit which allows the tone to be tight and cutting,

(CCW), to warm and thumping (CW).9. Middle (OD Channel)

The Middle control adjusts the amount of middle frequencies in your tone. Themiddle frequencies are particularly important in setting the amount of body yourtone has. With the Middle control set to its minimum position (fully CCW) the soundwill be aggressive and scooped, a tone ideal for aggressive rhythm playing. As theMiddle control is increased (CW) the amount of body is increased, which is moresuitable for sustained lead guitar tones.

3. Speaker Emulated Output & Headphones

This output emulates the tonal characteristics of a guitar speaker cabinet andprovides a natural valve overdrive tone for connection to a recording device or mixingdesk, and for use with headphones. To make full use of the stereo reverb, use astereo jack to two mono jacks splitter lead to feed two channels of the recordingdevice or mixer (see diagram below). The output will also function into a mono guitartype lead. Always use a good quality screened lead.

4. Cabinet Switch

The switch enables you to select either a 4x12 closed back or a 1x12 open backcabinet emulation for the Speaker Emulated Output.

5. Footswitch

The supplied footswitch is connected here. The footswitch enables you to switchbetween the Clean and Overdrive channels. The Overdrive Select Switch (4) on theamplier must be depressed to allow the footswitch to work.

6. Effects Loop Send

Connect the (mono) input of an external effects unit here.

7. Effects Loop Return

Connect the (mono) output of an external effects unit here.

8. Effects Loop Level

The Effect Loop Level switch sets the effects loop to either +4dBV/-10dBV, whichenables you to use it with either professional equipment (+4dBV setting), or withguitar level effects such as effects pedals (-10dBV setting).

9. MP3/Line Input

Connect the output of your MP3 or CD player here. Adjust the players volume tomatch that of your guitar to enable you to play along.

Die patentierteISF (Innite Shape Feature)-Kreisschaltung bietet unendliche Kontrolle ber dieFunktionen des Tonreglersystems und schickt Sie auf eine aufregende Klangreise.Nun knnen Sie also tatschlich Ihren eigenen Sound designen und endlich dieMelodie in Ihrem Kopf Wirklichkeit werden lassen. Um den HT-5TH zum idealenVerstrker fr den Gebrauch zuhause und im Studio zu machen, sollte ein Valve-Amp entwickelt werden, der selbst auf niedrigeren Lautstrkeebenen satten undmelodischen Sound liefert. Mit diesem Ziel im Kopf entwickelte das Blackstar Design-Team eine brandneue Valve Power Amplier Topologie. Der HT-5TH Power Amplierist eine Push-Pull-Konstruktion mit niedrigem Energiebedarf, die den einschlagendenKlangcharakter einer 100W-Ausgangsstufe bei viel niedriger Lautstrke bietet.Das wurde durch die Verwendung einer 12BH7-Doppeltriodenrhre in Push-Pull-Konguration erreicht, die eine harmoniereiche und dichte 5 Watt-Tonausgabe

Der HT-5TH verfgt auch ber einen voluminsen, Lautsprecher-emuliertenAusgang, der die Anwendungsqualitt im Studio steigert und jedem Gitarristenperfekten Valve-Sound direkt auf Band, Platte oder ber Kopfhrer liefert. Er bietetauch die einzigartige 4x12/1x12 Voicing Switch, die den Wechsel der Klangmerkmalezwischen zwei emulierten Lautsprechertypen ermglicht.

Der emulierte Stereoausgang des Lautsprechers kann gleichzeitig mit der internenLautsprecher/ Erweiterungscab verwendet werden, was bei Aufnahmen zuhauseoder im Studio ein Monitoring ohne Kopfhrer oder das Kombinieren von Mikro-Lautsprecher und emuliertem Tonsignal mglich macht. 10. Treble (OD-Kanal)

Mit dem Regler Treble knnen Sie gezielt den Hhenanteil im Gesamt-Soundeinstellen. Bei niedrigen Einstellungen (gegen den Uhrzeigersinn) erhlt der Soundeinen wrmeren und dunkleren Charakter. Wenn der Treble-Regler angehoben wird(im Uhrzeigersinn), wird der Sound immer hhenreicher. In der Maximalpositionklingt der Sound schlielich aggressiv und schneidend.


Der ISF-Regler arbeitet mit den Reglern fr Bass, Middle und Treble zusammen. Mitseiner Hilfe nden Sie die genau die Klangfrbung, die Sie suchen. Bei Einstellungengegen den Uhrzeigersinn besitzt der Amp einen amerikanischen Sound-Charaktermit einem straffen Bassfundament und aggressiveren Mitten. Bei Einstellungen imUhrzeigersinn erzeugt der Amp einen britischen Sound, der deutlich erdiger undweniger aggressiv klingt.


Mit dem Reverb-Regler wird die Gesamtlautstrke des Reverb-Effekts ausgesteuert.Im Linksanschlag des Reglers ist kein Reverb hrbar. Wenn der Regler imUhrzeigersinn aufgedreht wird, nimmt der Reverb-Anteil zu. Wie die HT-Venue-Serieund der HT-1 verfgt auch der HT-5R ber ein digitales Stereo-Reverb, das demSound Tiefe verleiht.

13. Power-Leuchte

Die Power-Kontrollleuchte ist aktiv, wenn Sie den Verstrker einschalten.

14. Standby

Dieser Schalter aktiviert die Endstufe und damit die Ausgabe ber den internenLautsprecherausgang. Schalten Sie diesen Schalter frhestens 30 Sekunden nachdem Power-Schalter (15) ein. Fr Aufnahmen oder das ben ohne Sound stellen Siediesen Schalter in die Standby-Position. Dadurch wird die Endstufe deaktiviert undder Sound nur noch ber den emulierten Ausgang ausgegeben.

15. Power

Mit diesem Schalter schalten Sie den Verstrker ein bzw. aus. Aktivieren Sie diesenSchalter in jedem Fall VOR dem Standby-Schalter (14).

Rckseite1. Netzanschluss

Hier wird das mitgelieferte Kaltgertenetzkabel angeschlossen. Das Kabel mussan einer Netzsteckdose angeschlossen werden, die in punkto Spannung, Leistungund Netzfrequenz den auf der Rckseite vermerkten Spezikationen entspricht. ImZweifelsfall wenden Sie sich an einen qualizierten Techniker/Elektriker.

1. Eingang

Hier schlieen Sie Ihre Gitarre an. Verwenden Sie in jedem Fall hochwertigegeschirmte Gitarrenkabel.

2. Clean Volume

Mit diesem Regler steuern Sie die Lautstrke im Clean-Kanal. Im Uhrzeigersinnheben Sie die Lautstrke an.

3. Clean Tone

Der Tone-Regler dient zur Balance der Hhen-und Bassanteile im Sound. Beiniedrigen Einstellungen (gegen den Uhrzeigersinn) erhlt der Sound einen wrmerenund dumpferen Charakter. Wenn Sie den Treble-Regler im Uhrzeigersinn aufdrehen,wird der Sound immer hhenreicher.

4. Overdrive SelectMit diesem Schalter aktivieren Sie den Overdrive-Kanal.

5. Overdrive-Anzeige

Wenn die ROTE LED leuchtet, ist der Overdrive-Kanal angewhlt. Wenn die LEDnicht leuchtet, ist der Clean-Kanal aktiv.

6. Overdrive Gain

Der Mitten-Regler steuert den Anteil der Mittenfrequenzen im Gesamt-Sound. DieMitten sind insbesondere fr den Grundsound entscheidend. In der Minimalposition(komplett gegen den Uhrzeigersinn) ist der Sound sehr aggressiv und hohl, was sichspeziell fr knackige Rhythmus-Parts eignet. Wenn der Mitten-Regler angehobenwird (im Uhrzeigersinn), nimmt der Grundton-Anteil zu, was sich fr singende Lead-Gitarren-Sounds empehlt.

Ce bouton contrle le Volume du canal Clean. Tournez le dans le sens des aiguillesdune montre an daugmenter le volume.

Le contrle de tonalit permet dajuster le caractre du son avec un balayage entrefrquences graves et aigues. Si le potentiomtre est rgl sur la premire partie desa course, le son est plus pais et chaleureux, au fur et mesure que lon tournecelui-ci dans le sens des aiguilles dune montre, le son devient plus clair et dtaill.

Pressez ce bouton pour slectionner le canal Overdrive.

5. Overdrive Indicator

Quand la diode est rouge le canal Overdrive est slectionn. Quand la diode estteinte le canal clair est activ.

6. Overdrive Gain

Le Bouton Gain vous permet dajuster le niveau doverdrive ou de distorsion ducanal. Rgl compltement gauche, vous obtiendrez un son clean hors ducommun. Lorsque vous tournerez le bouton dans le sens des aiguilles dune montrele son deviendra crunch puis distordu.

7. Overdrive Volume

Ce bouton contrle le volume du Canal Overdrive. Le tourner dans le sens desaiguilles dune montre augmente le volume.


Le bouton Bass vous permet dajuster le niveau de frquences basses dans votreson. Cet ampli intgre un circuit de rglages des basses avanc vous permettantde manire prcise.

Le bouton Medium vous permet de rgler le niveau de frequencies Medium dansvotre son, dessinant ainsi le corps de votre son. Auche votre son sera agressif, idalpour une squence rythmique. Rgl plus droite, le niveau augmentera et le sondeviendra optimal pour des squences lead.


Le Bouton Treble (aigu) vous permet son tour, de rgler les frequences aigues.A un niveau faible le son sera chaud et sombre, au fur et mesure que vouslaugmenter le son deviendra de plus en plus brillant. A son maximum, les sonoritsseront tranchantes et agressives.

Al incrementar el ajuste (sentido horario) aumenta la cantidad de efecto. El HT-5Rincorpora reverb estreo digital como la que se puede encontrar en los HT Venue yel HT-1, aadiendo un nuevo matiz a cada forma de tocar.

13. Luz de Indicador de Encendido

Se ilumina cuando el amplicador est conectado.

14. Standby

Este interruptor habilita el funcionamiento de la etapa potencia y de la salida dealtavoz. Encindelo siempre al menos 30 segundos despus del interruptorPower (15). Para una grabacin silenciosa o para practicar este interruptor debeestar en la posicin de Standby. Esto desactivar la etapa de potencia, perola salida simulada seguir funcionando.

15. Power

Se utiliza este interruptor para conectar/desconectar el amplicador. SIEMPRE sedebe conectar este interruptor ANTES QUE el de STANDBY (14).

Panel Trasero

1. Entrada de corrienteEl cable de alimentacin incluido se conecta aqu. El cable solamente debeconectarse en una toma de alimentacin compatible con los requisitos de voltaje,potencia y frecuencia representados en el panel trasero del amplicaor. En caso deduda pide consejo a un tcnico cualicado.

2. Salidas de Altavoz

La salida marcada como 1x16 Ohm se usa para la conexin de una sla pantallade 16 ohmios. Las salidas marcadas 1x8 Ohm or 2x16 Ohm se usan para laconexin de una sla pantalla de 8 ohmios, los altavoces internos del HT-5TH o dospantallas externas de 16 ohmios. Los altavoces internos del HT-5TH no se debenusar junto a una pantalla externa. Ver tabla abajo.

Panel frontal

1. Input

Enchufa tu guitarra aqu. Usa siempre un cable apantallado de calidad.

2. Clean Volume

Controla el volumen del canal limpio. Girndolo en el sentido de las agujas del relojaumenta el volumen.

3. Clean Tone

El control de tono permite ajustar la respuesta de agudos y graves en el sonido.En ajustes bajos (sentido anti-horario) el sonido tendr un carcter ms clido yoscuro. A medida que se incrementa el ajuste en sentido horario el sonido se volverms brillante.

4. Selector de Overdrive

Aprieta este botn para seleccionar el canal Overdrive.

5. Indicador de Overdrive

Cuando el LED rojo est encendido, el canal saturado (Overdrive) ha sidoseleccionado. Cuando el LED est apagado, el canal limpio (Clean) esten funcionamiento.

6. Overdrive Gain

El control GAIN ajusta la cantidad de distorsin o saturacin del canal Overdrive.Ajustes bajos, en sentido contrahorario, proporcionan sonido limpio justo a puntode romper. A medida que el control GAIN aumenta, sentido horario, el sonido sevuelve ms saturado moviendose a travs de tonos crujientes hasta, en su mximaposicin, un tono de distorsin llena adecuado para solos.

7. Overdrive Volume

Controla el volumen del canal Overdrive. Girndolo en sentido horario aumentael volumen.


El control BASS ajusta la cantidad de frecuencias bajas en tu sonido. Este ampli

tiene un circuito de modelado de tono avanzado que permite que suene apretadoy cortante girando en sentido contrahorario, caliente y arrollador girando el controlen sentido horario.

9. Middle (OD Channel)

El control MIDDLE ajusta la cantidad de frecuencias medias en tu sonido. Lasfrecuencias medias son particularmente importantes para ajustar la cantidad decuerpo que va a tener tu sonido. Con el control MIDDLE en su ajuste mnimo(sentido contrahorario) el sonido ser agresivo y scooped (ecualizacin en V)un sonido ideal para rtmicas agresivas. Girando el control MIDDLE en sentidohorario, la cantidad de cuerpo aumenta, lo cual resulta ms adecuado para soloscon mayor sustain.

9. MP3/Entrada de lnea

Conecta la salida de tu reproductor de CD MP3 aqu. Ajusta el volumen delreproductor para igualar al de la guitarra y tocar conjuntamente con tu msica.

3. Salida de auriculares y Simulacin de Altavoz

Esta salida simula las caractersticas tonales de una pantalla de guitarra yproporciona un sonido de saturacin natural de vlvula para conectar a un aparatode grabacin o una mesa de mezclas y para usar con auriculares. Usa siempreun cable apantallado de calidad. Para aprovechar al mximo la reverberacin del

estreo, usa un cable con divisor con un jack estreo en un extremo y dos jackmono en el otro para abastecer dos canales de grabacin o mezcla (ver diagramainferior). La salida tambin funcionar con un cable mono para guitarra. Utilizasiempre cables blindados de buena calidad.

4. Interruptor Cabinet

Te permite seleccionar una simulacin de pantalla 4x12 cerrada o 1x12 abiertapara la salida de simulacin de altavoz.

5. Footswitch

El interruptor Overdrive Select (4) debe estar presionado para permitir elfuncionamiento del pedal.

6. Envo del Bucle de Efectos

Conecta aqu la entrada de una unidad de efectos (MONO).

7. Retorno del Bucle de Efectos

Conecta aqu la salida de una unidad de efectos (MONO).

8. Nivel del Bucle de Efectos

Este interruptor comuta el nivel del bucle entre +4dBV/-10dBV lo que permite usarlotanto con equipo profesional (+4dBV ) como efectos en formato pedal (-10dBV).
