In 2017 The Clinic performed 7118 outpatient exams-1443 of them were first visits from our shelter animals returning to us!

We administered 2143 vaccines to dogs and cats at our LCVCs

• We adopted out 4846 cats and dogs

• We also adopted 215 small domestic animals as

well as a few farm animals too.

• 2017 adoption total: 5061. This is the highest

amount that HSHV has ever adopted out!

• For dogs and cats, this is a 17.4 increase from last

year!

In 2017 the Pajama Party promotion continued to

be a huge success with 145 dogs leaving on a

pajama party’s and 119 of them turning into

adoptions

Foster Care - who needs it?

In 2017 the Foster Volunteers

helped save the lives of animals

who were:

Too Young – as young as 1 day old!

Too Old – Princess was adopted

from foster at 20 years old!



Too sick to stay at the shelter

Too scared to be in a cage or

kennel – little Shiitake was

overwhelmed here.



Too complicated -

Too sassy –

Miss Pickles qualifies as both

complicated and sassy. She’s on

Thyroid meds twice daily. She’s also

12 years old and set in her ways!
