From the Headmistress We are so proud of our 2016 HSC cohort and their fabulous achievements. Some girls placed at the top of the State for individual subjects, and others were All Round Achievers. The greatest joy, however, was to see so many girls achieve their personal best with their results, after working with dedication and persistence over a long year. The girls’ commitment to their studies, alongside their participation in sport, music, Service Education and so much more, have seen them enrich the life of the school this year in many ways, and they leave well equipped for life beyond our school gates. We look forward to hearing about the contribution each of them will make to the world in the years ahead. These results would not be possible without the love and support of their parents and family members and the care, guidance, expertise and tireless efforts of the St Catherine’s teaching and support staff. I am grateful for everyone’s contribution to the girls’ strong results. The Sydney Morning Herald ranked St Catherine’s 45 th in the State – a commendable result for a genuinely non-selective school. Katerina Theocharous, our Dux of the School, gained an ATAR of 99.9 – an outstanding rank. We congratulate her, and all our students, on their achievements this year.
