Small business challengesThe competitive landscape for small businesses has changed dramatically over the past

decade. Your customers may be located anywhere in the world, and they expect to be able to

do business with you 24x7, using any device. Your competitors may have expanded from other

small businesses in your local geography to those based on the other side of the globe.

Your IT infrastructure needs to be able to respond to these challenges and enable you to stay one

step ahead of the competition.

Mobility continues to change the way organizations—and the world—conduct business. Newdevices and platforms can make it easier than ever to communicate with employees and customers.

As a result, businesses are presented with more opportunities to provide innovative productivity

enhancements, products, and services.

Many small businesses have not developed a wireless infrastructure, while others need to

upgrade existing wireless networks to keep pace with growth and change. As they strive to

thrive in a global economy, these businesses need to be able to accommodate the bandwidth

demands of wireless and wired devices that can enable their employees to conduct business

anywhere, anytime.

They need to be able to handle personal devices and disparate services—like Wi-Fi , text

messages, smartphones, apps, tablets, and cloud computing—that make it easy for customers

to do business with them, and that enable employees and vendors to stay connected away from

the workplace.

Simply put, mobility has introduced both opportunities and challenges that a small business

needs to plan for to reap its benets.
