How to Turn Wifi Off on your Router

Turning Off Wifi Comtrend

Model: AR5312 Step one: Log into the Gateway using IP address 192.168.0.1 in the address bar of any web browser and it will prompt you for a username and password - these are root and 12345. Step two: You will find the start menu page and will need to click on the left menu option Wireless.

Step three: Next you will see near the top of the page Enable Wireless with a check next to it. Uncheck the box and apply the settings.

Turning Off Wifi Netgear

Model: DGND3700V2 Step one: Log into the Netgear Gateway using IP address 192.168.0.1 in the address bar of any web browser and it will prompt you for a username and password - these are ADMIN and PASSWORD. Step two: You will find the start menu page and will need to click on the left menu option Wireless.

Step three: Next you will see near the top of the page ENABLE SSID BROADCAST with a check next to it. Uncheck the box and apply the settings.

Turning Off Wifi Arris

Model: TG862

The first step is open Arris TG862 web interface at https://192.168.0.1 and then log in using

“admin” and “password” for the username and password.

Using the “Basic Setup” tab uncheck the “Enable Wireless” check box.

Save this configuration and close the browser.

Turning Off Wifi Comtrend

Model: 3120

Step one: Log in at the default ip address 192.168.1.1 (root 123456)

Step two: Click on Advances Settings on the top of the window.

Step three: Click on Wireless from the menu on the left side of the window.

Step four: Uncheck enable wifi, this is the first thing on this menu.

Step five: Hit the button apply/save .
