Before you tap 1.Washyourhandsthoroughly2.Findaquietplacewhereyoucanexpressyourselffreely3.AgreetotakefullresponsibilityforyourownemotionalhealthandwellbeingNext, acknowledge what’s wrong and measure the intensity 4.Putafewwordstowhatfeelsbadrightnow–anyuncomfortablefeeling,thoughtorbodysensationyoumaybeexperiencing.Forexample,Ifeeloverwhelmed…5.Measuretheemotionalintensityofthesewordsonascaleof0(lowest)to10(highest)…Tap and speak the Setup 6.TodotheSetup,gentlytapontheSideofHand(SOH,formerlycalledtheKarateChop),whilespeakingaloud,andrepeatingthreetimes:EventhoughIfeeloverwhelmed,Ideeplyandcompletelyacceptmyself…Tap and speak the Sequence w/ the Reminder Phrase7.Next,gentlytapeachpointintheSequence(below)whilespeakingthesamewordorphraseyouacknowledgedearlier.ThisiscalledaReminderPhrase:

• Afterthisroundoftapping,stopandbreathe,measureIfeeloverwhelmedagain,andrepeatthewholeEFTSetupandSequenceforoneortwomoreroundsuntiltheintensityisaslowasitwillgo.Ifanotherfeeling,thoughtorbodysensationcomesupthatisstronger,taponthat.Ifyouremotionalintensityisquitehigh,tapsilentlyoneachpointuntilitsubsides
