1 Introduction

1.1 Purpose The purpose of this document is to provide step-by-step instruction on how to log into the State of NH Moodle sites, find the list of statewide courses, and access said courses.

1.2 What is Moodle Moodle is an online Learning Management System (LMS) that has been selected by the Bureau of Education and Training (BET) to provide a central repository for training materials and be a platform for more interactive coursework, training videos and certificates. It presents as a web site that can be accessed from all major web browsers but requires the user be logged into a state computer either physically or through a remote connection such as a VPN.

1.3 Access to the Moodle Training Server The Moodle server can only be accessed from a state computer as it is designed to be used by state employees only.

BET has also created an online learning portal with links to the Moodle servers and to also provide additional information and resources concerning Moodle as well as online learning in general. The portal page can be found at:

2 Instructions

2.1 Sign In to Moodle The following are the step-by-step instructions on how to sign in to either of the Moodle servers. For this example we will use the production server.

1. Navigate to: https://moodle.nh.gov/moodle. The landing page should look something like below, though more categories and courses will most likely be visible over time:

2. Click Log in in the upper right corner of the page:



3. Enter your NH FIRST username and password and then click the button titled Log in:



4. If your username and password are recognized the screen below will be displayed. Enter your

first name and last name in the first two fields and leave your email address that is shown alone. When you are finished click the Update profile button:



5. If all goes well the next screen will be displayed and the Moodle account has been successfully

setup:



2.2 Navigate to and Access the Statewide Sexual Harassment Policy Course The following are the step-by-step instructions on how to navigate to and access the sexual harassment course once your account has been setup in Moodle:

1. Once your account has been setup subsequent logins to Moodle will show the landing page:



2. The sexual harassment training can be found under the All State Employees category as highlighted below. Click the link.



3. The next screen shows a list of all courses assigned to the All State Employees category. In this example only the sexual harassment policy course is available. Click on Policy on Sexual Harassment as highlighted below to access the course:



4. The first time a state employee enters a course they must enroll in the course. The courses use self-enrollment so the user must only click on the Enroll me button to enroll in the course and see its content.



5. The next screen shows all of the content for the Policy on Sexual Harassment course. The course is divided up into four topics. The second, titled Sexual Harassment Policy Video, contains the training video and a certificate that will be issued only if the user watches the video in its entirety and achieves a score of 70% or higher on the quiz questions that are presented.



6. To watch the training video, click 2015 Sexual Harassment Training in the Sexual Harassment Policy Video section as shown below:



7. After successfully completing the training you can click on the Sexual Harassment Certificate link below the training video to view your certificate. At that time you will be given the option to print it so that it can be handed in to your HR department.
