Summary of stepsThis document is for users who connect to a Next Generation of Virtual PC from their personal Windows computer, and who wish to use Microsoft Teams.

There are two steps to follow to use Microsoft Teams in this way:

1. Install the most recent version of Citrix WorkspaceEven if you’ve connected to Next Generation of Virtual PC before, please follow this step to have the most recent version of the software.

2. Configure the microphone and webcamYou need to give permission to Next Generation of Virtual PC to access your personal computer’s webcam and mic.

Installing the most recent version of Citrix Workspace

Beware! Before continuing, end your Next Generation of Virtual PC

session and go to your personal computer’s desktop.

1. Go to this webpage: https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/windows/workspace-app-for-windows-latest.html

2. Click on Download Citrix Workspace app for Windows.

3. Open the CitrixWorkspaceApp.exe file you’ve downloaded.

Follow these steps only once you’ve received a confirmation that

you’ve been granted audio and video access to Microsoft Teams.

4. If Windows asks for your allow changes to your computer, click Yes.

5. A window entitled Welcome to Citrix Workspace will appear. Click Start.

6. Accept the software agreement and click Next.

7. Click Install.

Do not check "Enable app protection."

The installation might take a moment.

8. After the installation, click Finish.

Activating your mic and webcamOnce you’ve connected remotely:

1. If the window below appears when you log in from Next Generation of Virtual PC, click Permit use of these devices.

2. Place your cursor on the top bar and click on Preferences.

3. In the Connections tab, configure the microphone and webcam and click OK.

Congratulations! Your webcam and microphone

will now work with optimal quality.
