How to send a proposal online to IPA / IPSO Congress

Go to the online application system ENGLISH

You will be asked to Login. The page contains the following 3 options:

PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT CREATE A NEW RECORD if you are a former or current IPA Member / Candidate or

have, as a non-member, bought tickets for earlier IPA Congresses.

After you enter your login and password click Submit. A new window will open showing your contact

details, please check that the information displayed is correct especially the email address. If there are no

changes click on No Changes-Continue this will take you to the Proposals Homepage.

In the nest window please select My proposals/Make a proposal

1. Please enter all details about your presentation as required in the form

Enter the name of the group you are proposing

Type or paste your abstract (not more than 500 words) as required

Type or paste your summary (not more than 60 words) as required

When was your group first established? (please state date of first meeting) or if it is a brand new

group

What is the purpose of your group? (please draw attention to the scientific aspects and to any

particularly innovative character, or the nature of the psychoanalytic problem to be addressed):

What has your group achieved so far?:

What do you want to do in Buenos Aires?:

What is the end goal for this group?:

Please specify the preferred days (Tuesday 25 July and/or Wednesday morning 26 July)and hours of

work for your group

How many rooms would be needed for this group? If it will be available in multiple languages please

specify language required per room

What is the maximum capacity for the group excluding active participants (Active Participants are

Chairs, presenters, discussants etc.) (please include the limit per room/language)

What is the maximum capacity for IPA Members excluding active participants (Active Participants

are Chairs, presenters, discussants etc.)

Select the option from the

Forms click on Submit New

For Pre-Congress Work

Groups and Working parties

select Submit New in the first

option

For ALL congress proposals

including Prizes and Awards

select Submit New under the

second option

Enter the answer to the CME questions (question 6-12) You will find some samples here

Enter 3-5 keywords selected from the IPA Psychoanalytic Thesaurus online that best describes your

proposal.

Equipment A/V, this answer is not mandatory but your answer will assist us to allocate your requests, if

accepted, to the correct room.

Read carefully the IPA Non exclusive license and tick that box

Clinical Material, read carefully and select the relevant box

Once all information is entered click on Save. DO NOT select Submit for Review at this stage as you

would not be allowed to add relevant material/information nor make any changes. In the next page

you will be able to select your role in the application, presenter, moderator etc. and also add other

participants.

If you are happy with your proposal please do the following:

a) Click on the title

b) Scroll to the bottom of the page

and click on Submit for Review

Your application is now closed and ready for review

Make sure you add all

participants, check your

data is correct and

select Save.
