Empty food waste into the green bin regularlyFood goes into the bright green-lidded bin with any garden waste.
Put the green bin out weekly to be emptiedYou can layer food waste with garden waste and other dry materials such as newspaper or pea straw hay.

Food waste wrapped in newspaper
Used paper towel and tissues
Garden waste
Meat scraps and bones
Dairy leftovers and egg shells
No plastic, compostable or biodegradable bags
Bread, pasta, cereal and rice
Biodegradable and compostable bags can’t be used
in green bins. They are sent
to landfill.
