• Review your syllabus carefully • Review all of your lecture notes, and assigned readings

• Draw on assigned material to develop your own sample questions
STUDY SCHEDULE
• Make a study schedule that spreads out the task of studying• For example, begin studying for scheduled exams, quizzes, and tests a week in advance

Read all the directions and questions
carefully before you answer the questions
Try to think of the correct answer
before reading the answer options
MANAGING TEST ANXIETY
• What is test anxiety? • “Test anxiety is a psychological condition in which people experience extreme distress and
anxiety in testing situations. While many people experience some degree of stress and anxiety before and during exams, text anxiety can actually impair learning and hurt test performance”.

• Get ample rest the night before the exam
• Eat before the exam
• Practice mock exam questions under conditions that are similar to actual exam conditions
• Take several deep breaths to calm down if your anxiety level increases during the exam
• Bring a water bottle to the exam
