What is “convincing”?
According to Oxford Dictionary of English, “convincing” is defined as the follows:
capable of causing someone to believe that something is true
Thus, to make a thesis statement convincing is to have the capability of causing someone to believe that the statement is true.

e.g. If Peter is in Tokyo, then Peter is in Japan.
How do we judge whether a premise is proper or not?
Ex-1. Conclusion: Peter is in Nagoya.
(a): Peter is in the central part of the country.
(b): Peter is meeting some people who live in Nagoya.
(c): Peter is in Asia.
(d): Peter is in the restaurant called “Nagoya Chicken Wings”.
