TALENT STORY (example)
HEADLINE: I’m looking for a smart idealist who wants to change the world.
SUB-HEADLINE: I’m looking for a right-hand woman in Columbus, Ohio.
As president of For Impact (www.forimpact.org) I oversee strategy, speak, sell, manage and work withalotofseniornonprofitleaders.Thispersonwouldsupportallaspectsofagrowingsocialenterprise by supporting all of these pieces with me.
We work REALLY HARD (long hours, lots of travel) but we get to do REALLY COOL STUFF (working directly with and for the top social entrepreneurs and philanthropists on the planet).
IdealProfile:
- Age: 25-30- Degree: Liberal Arts (ability to think/write/communicate trumps ability to run a macro in excel)- Location: Columbus, OH- Misc: Will be traveling a few times per month... sometimes to cool places like New York and
Ireland and sometimes to not cool places, like Green Bay in the winter.-Getsstuffdone?Yes.
For those of you that know me, this person would also add balance. Routines, order, straight lines... theseareallthingsthatarehardforme.Thispersonwouldcomplementthesedeficiencies(tonamea few). For the business-minded friends, I’m looking for a ‘liberal arts ops person’.
Most job postings look for a ‘self-starter’. This one’s looking for a rock star.
I’memphasizingafinalpointbecauseI’mpostingthisongoogle+,tofriendsandbeyond. “This person has got to have a brain and have great attitude about life.* If he/she has these qualities, we can train this person to do everything else. More importantly, for this person, he or she will develop skills to be able to walk into any board room, for any organization around the world, and have a really big impact.
FI ROCKSTAR
