Spacewell apps on

Update your PC

• Windows 10 – Fall creators update

(version 1709) or above

Step 1

Get required permissions

• The PC/tablet must be added to the company’s

Active Directory (AD) domain

• Logged in AD user must have at-least local admin

rights to complete installation

o Extract the .ZIP installation folder on

your desktop.

Step 2

o Make sure the system’s date is set to

the actual date.

o Double click SideLoading.reg

o Select “OK” or “YES” to all

confirmation boxes.

o The installation is successful when the

following message is shown: “The keys

and values contained in c:\\ <your

path> have been successfully added to

the registry.”

o Right click on click on Add-

AppDevPackage.ps1

o Select “Run with PowerShell”

o The Windows PowerShell command

line tool will open.

o Press “Yes” for all prompted

questions.

o Press “enter” when the following text

is shown: “Your app was successfully

installed”

o Open your app from the Windows

app drawer.

o Right click/long press and “Pin to

start” for easy access.

Distributed

Distributed installation

o Like any other Windows desktop/tablet software product,

apps and applications can be installed from distance

(pushed installation) by the companies IT department.

o Specific software is available to assist companies in

providing such services to the users (example: Active

Directory Group Policies, Device Management tools etc.).

o In order to facilitate the Spacewell app’s installation

process, the Spacewell apps can also be distributed via

these systems.

Installation from

Microsoft Store

Installation from Microsoft Store

o Few Spacewell apps are published on

the Microsoft Store.

o To get these apps, launch “Microsoft

Store” app on your PC/tablet.

o On the top right corner, search with

either the app name (e.g. COBUNDU

Work Assistant) or developer name

(e.g. Spacewell – a Nemetschek

company)

o Select the app and press “Get” to

install the app.
