MSF Website and Byte Login

• MSF Website: Wholesale / Correspondent

• Sign up to become an approved Wholesale Broker Partner / Correspondent Partner

• Email will be sent with your Byte Web Log-in will be provided.

• Click on MSF Byte Web Portal Login or HERE for direct link.

• Enter assigned Log-in ID and PW (you will be prompted to change your PW)*to add additional accounts, contact [email protected]

• Select different reports to review pipeline.

• Ensure you’re in the right profile via loan number –(W or N)

• Use search tool to find loans with file name, first name, or last name.

Byte Login

• Once logged in, select designated security profile (applicable if approved for multiple channels).

• *W – Wholesale

• *N – Non Delegated

• *C – Delegated

• **When switching between wholesale and non delegated submissions, you must log out and sign back in.

• Click [New File] to register a new file.

• Upload 3.2 FNMA file and [CREATE NEW FILE].• Please remove any DO or DU case file ID from

your LOS 1003 before exporting to Byte

• View summary of your loan on the HOME screen.

• Under Loan Info – Select your desired Loan Program.

• Review loan information.

Outstanding or Missing Loan Documents

• Upload missing items via [Stored Document].

• 2:00pm MST cut off still applies for that days business.

• Documents must be PDF format only.

Loan Submission / Disclosure • To upload submission package, click on [Stored Document], [Upload

Document], [Browse] to select PDF or multiple PDFs

• Open PDF or PDFs for the document drop down to appear.

• Select Submission TYPE to place document in accurate drop down description option per Submission Form examples include:

• 00 – Wholesale LE Disclosures (Request Disclosures Only)

• 01 – Initial Submission Package (Submit and Request Disclosures)

• After document category is assigned select [Upload]

• Wholesale Disclosure Requests must be submitted inside 48 hrs of “Application Status” date in Byte.

• Income & Assets must be uploaded separately to 08-Submission Income/Assets or they will not be reviewed with the initial review

Home Page

• Click the change status

• A pop up will open Click “OK” to confirm or to cancel select cancel

• If the file is successfully submitted you will be redirected to the home page. You can verify that the loan status changed by reviewing the dates on the status screen.

Finalize Submission Procedure

Unsuccessful submission will result in errors

To clear errors: Select cancel and return, correct the discrepancies and re-submit “Change Status” request

Once all fields within the file have been completed and documentation uploaded you are ready to submit the file for review.

• Once loan has been underwritten, decision will be sent.

• Click on [CONDITIONS] screen to view conditions.

• Click [UPLOAD], and upload document related to each condition.

• FOLDER icon will appear next to each uploaded condition

• Multiple documents can be uploaded for the same condition. Upload separately – ex: bank statements, retirement accounts, etc.

• MSF Operations will notify the business partner via email if outstanding conditions remain.

• Documents will be visible by clicking on folder icon or in the [STORED DOCUMENTS TAB].

• In Byte, click on loan number.

• Click on [Stored Documents]

• Status will reflect whether documents has been note reviewed, approved, denied, inactive, etc.

• Click on document name to view documents.

How to Price & Lock

• In Byte, click on [PRICING AND LOCK] on left column. Verify information is accurate, click on [Price/Lock] for Optimal Blue.

• Review information. Press [Submit]. Pricing screen will appear.

• Select desired pricing by clicking on lock icon .

• Click on [Request Lock/Save to LOS] to complete lock request. Notification will appear asking to complete loan in LOS system. Select [OK]. Once complete, you’ll be redirected back to Byte.

• Verification on the Pricing and Lock screen with a timestamp of when request was submitted will appear.

How to Change Loan Information (not locked)

• In Byte, click on [PRICING AND LOCK] on left column. Click [PRICE/LOCK] to update information Optimal Blue.

• If loan is NOT locked, follow guides on above regarding “how to price & lock” and select [SAVE TO LOS] to update information without locking.

• New locks: M-F 9:00AM – 6:00PM (MST)

• Lock Extensions: M-F 9:00AM – 4:30PM (MST)

Changes to: LTV/Rate/Loan Amount/Extend a Lock/etc. when loan is locked

• Submit request within Optimal Blue. Click on Change Request button and complete request:

• Select profile change and submit request (#3) – an editable OB screen will appear allowing for updates.

• For lock extension, select lock extension, enter extension days, press submit request.

• Complete updates, press submit to view new pricing information, select the lock icon for pricing.

• Final page with the summary of changes will appear. Review updated information and press [SUBMIT].

Price and Lock Procedure

**Important Information**

• Loan amount changes:

• FHA loans – enter the BASE loan amount

• Conforming, USDA, VA – enter NOTE loan amount

• Extensions cannot fall on a weekend or holiday.

• Lock extensions must be requested before 4:30PM MST on the day the lock expires

Relock or LO Compensation Change

• Locked loans, to change compensation from Lender Paid to Borrower Paid (or vice versa), click on [PRICING AND LOCK] then [PRICE/LOCK] to ender Optimal Blue.

• Click on CHANGE REQUEST icon:

• Enter request in LOAN NOTES section.

• **click EMAIL SECONDARY**

• **click ADD NOTE**

• Failure to click on [EMAIL SECONDARY] will result in the Secondary Department not receiving the request.

• If loan expires and loan needs to be relocked, contact the Lock Department at [email protected].

Special Notes PLEASE READ• *Closing Disclosure can be issued once all CD requirements have been met (See

CD Tracking in MSF Byte). Any COC before a CD has been issued will require the LE to be re-issued and a CD cannot be issued until at least one day later.

• *Closing Disclosure required to be received by the borrower no later than three business days before consummation.

• Business days includes Saturday

• Funding will be responsible to create and disclose the CD to the borrower timely.

• **A complete/acceptable doc request is defined as one meeting applicable loan specific expiration dates, such as lock; credit docs and approval expiration dates.Note – loan must close by credit doc expiration and must fund by approval expiration

Ordering Docs When Your File is CTCHow To Order Loan Docs (Wholesale Only)

• When your loan is Clear to Close (CTC), your MSF Processor will send you a notification along with the Doc Request Form.

• Completed doc requests must be uploaded into MSF Byte to request Docs (Doc Requested required 48 hours prior to closing)

• Please include all 3rd party invoices with your doc request form for any charges that need to be paid

Ordering VA Appraisal Using VIP

Log in to WebLGY Click on “Request Appraisal” Select LAPP –Lender Appraisal Processing Loans,

and submit. Sponsor ID: 8252600000

**Block 1C should read: [email protected]; Your Email Address **no space between MSF and your email

**Block 1D should have the MSF Loan Number

Once all fields are completed, check the “Acceptance of Responsivity” and submit.

New window will pop up and list your VA case number. This form is the 26-1805 – you will need to sign and list title. Submit with your conditions.

Obtaining Case Assignments Purchase and Regular Refinance requires case assignment VA

26-1805 which is requested by Mortgage Solutions Financial To request a VA Appraisal and Case number please complete

a VA Appraisal Request Form IRRRL requires single property case assignment with no

appraiser assignment

Obtaining a Case Number Sponsored originators (non DE delegated) provide a completed

Case Number Assignment Request Form with submission package.

Full Eagle Originators (DE Delegated) obtain case numbers via FHA Connection.

Rules for Ordering Case Numbers Case numbers may not be ordered unless the lender has

received a completed application In situations where the current application date is after the

case number date (ex: case number transfer); a written explanation must be provided by the originator along with supporting documentation regarding the notice of action from the previous lender.
