Common Knots for Cub Scouters
• Tigers Leader (1 year)
• Den Leader (1 year)
• Webelos Leader (1 year)
• Cubmaster (2 years)
• Cub Scouter (2 years)
All Knots Have Three Sections
• All knots have 3 sections– Tenure– Training– Performance
• It is important for the form to be neat
• Include additional contact information– Phone Number– Email Address (clearly written)
Training Requirements• All knots require:
– Fast Start (on-line)
– Basic Training for your position (NLE, LST)
– Youth Protection Training (YPT)
– Pow-Wow, University of Scouting, or 4 Roundtables
• On your application include, next to each entry...– Date you completed training
– Initials of trainer or your Pack Committee Chair/Cubmaster based on your cards or Roundtable Commissioner

Tenure Requirements
• Enter the Dates for Tenure– May not overlap any other training knot
– You must have been a registered scouter
– All dates must be in the past

Once Your Form is Ready…• Bring it to Roundtable (1st Monday of each Month)
• The District Training Chair will then...– Get District Approval– Submit the completed form at Council Training Meeting (3rd
Wed of each month)– In most cases, the council will complete the application by the
next month– We will contact you when your knot is ready for award
