How to correct the color and sharpness of an image in Adobe Photoshop CS5

Select File > Browse

How to correct the color and sharpness of an image in Adobe Photoshop CS5 - 1

Find your image.

- Use the icons to look through your folders to find your image.- Once you have found your image, make sure that it is selected by clicking on it. You will know that it isselected because the image will show in the preview box.


Select "File"


Select "Open in Camera Raw"


Adjust the "Temperature"

Adjusting the "Temperature" of the image will either make the image a warmer color or the image acolder color. To adjust the "Temperature", move the tab either left (warmer color) or right (colder color).


Adjust the "Exposure"

- Adjusting the "Exposure" is like adjusting how much sun light there was. - To adjust the "Exposure" move the tab either left (darker image) or right (brighter image).


Adjust the "Clarity"

- Adjusting the "Clarity" will make your image either sharper or it will blur your image. - To adjust the "Clarity" move the tab either left (blurry) or right (sharper).


Select "Open Image"

This will open your image into Adobe Photoshop.


Select, Select > Color Range


Click the area that you want selected.

- If it has missed an area that you wanted included. Hold down "Shift" on your keyboard and then clickthe areas that you want to be included in your selection. - You can also click on the little droplets that have a minus and a plus key to either add or subtract fromthe selected area.


Adjust the "Fuzziness"

- This will change the range of the selected area.- Adjust the "Fuzziness" by moving the tab either left (smaller range) or right (larger range).

Click on "OK"


Select Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation


Adjust the "Hue"

Move the "Hue" tab to the left to give the sky a blue tone.


Click on "OK"

Deselect the image.

To deselect the image press Ctrl + D on your keyboard.


Select Filter > Sharpen > Unsharp Mask


Move the "Amount" tab all the way to the right.


Adjust the "Radius"

To move the "Radius" tab, click and move the tab either to the left (smaller radius) or right (largerradius).


Adjust the "Amount"

- This makes the image more detailed. - Make sure that the "Preview" box is checked so that you will be able to see what your image will looklike without having to apply the adjustments.


Adjust the "Threshold"

This will recover your image.


Click on "OK"

After you have made all adjustments, click on "OK"


Finished Result

This is the finished result after I have corrected the color and sharpness of the image.
