How to complete a scholarship application from the Collision Repair Education Foundation

Step 1) Go to www.CollisionEducationFoundation.org and click on the “Student” tab at the top. Using the drop down menu, you have several options:

• Click on “Student Scholarship and Grant Opportunities 2013” to see the list of awards available.

• Click on “Student Scholarship and Grant Application 2013” to access the online applications.

Step 2) Click on “Student Scholarship and Grant Application 2013” which will bring you to the page: http://collisioneducationfoundation.org/student-scholarship-and-grant-application-2013/

• Read over the instructions and eligibility requirements. • Scroll to the bottom of the page to access the applications.

Step 3) Read over the requirements on the left-hand side to ensure you selected the correct application.

• NOTE: There are different applications for high school (secondary) and college (post-secondary) students.

If you have selected the correct application, sign-up to begin the application.

Step 4) Read over the general information about eligibility, awards, hints and saving your application. NOTE: If at any point during the application you do not have the information available, click “Save Draft” on the bottom of the page and log-in again when the information is available.

Step 5) Begin to fill out the application.

Step 6) Pay special attention to the “Endorsement Statement” part, as you will need to enter the name(s) of your endorser(s) before continuing with the application. NOTE: Please allow as much time as possible for this step, as it might take the endorsers several days/weeks to complete their portion of the application.

Step 7) On the last page of the application, read the information under “Essay and Transcript Uploads” carefully. The essay will need to written in a Word document and uploaded into the application. The transcript can be scanned or uploaded into the application.

Step 8) Once you enter all the information, you can click on the “Submit” button at the end. NOTE: If you click on the “Submit” button and the endorsement letters are not attached, your application will NOT be considered complete. Be sure to follow-up with your endorsers on a regular basis to ensure the statements get completed.
