Introduction

Hope takes away the dark clouds of anxiety, fear, self-doubt and worry; it allows us to see the brighter perspective

in life. Hope is not a conventional form of positivity. Most positive emotions happen when we feel protected and contented. Hope is an exclusion; it comes to show up when our fate is threatening. When things are not going well or if there’s disbelief about how things will turn out. Hope appears within those incidents when fear, hopelessness or misery is in front of us. Being a mom and a wife wears a lot of hats. I am journeying this life for almost eleven years now. And I have seen some portions of the world from its pride to its darkest areas. I know like any other human being, I am also facing a lot of struggles and challenges every day. Problems are part of our lives, it is the heaviest cross we carry on our shoulders throughout our lifetime. When I was a teenager I met God. I fell in love with Him, even more, when I got married. I turn to Him in every single moment of my life. I have learned how to Choose Hope in every situation and use His words as my solid rock. Few months after my grandmother died, I lost my Dad too. I was so hurt and afraid losing important people in my life. Grief and other life’s setbacks caused me to have depression. I felt alone and useless. That’s when anxiety, fear, self-doubt, and worry; creeps into my soul. When I choose to have negative thoughts, I always end up having these things to myself: This is hard! I can’t do this! Things will never change! These are some disheartening thoughts, aren’t they? Negative thoughts bring our hearts into self-doubt and discouragement. Self-doubt makes us feel weak and keeps us allowing things will not get better. The truth is, doubt and hope can never live in our hearts at the same time. If we choose to doubt, we can never gain our self-change, for, without Hope, doubt will always succeed. I have experienced that choosing hope in dire situations can fill you up with an overflowing love from God. Through tough times I have learned and accepted that I can’t do it with my own strength. I decided to trust God with all my heart by giving all to Him. I also encourage you to let God take over your anxieties, doubts, fears, and all your worries. Use God’s promises as the anchor of your soul. So, that hope will live in your heart and most likely will encourage, change in you. If you feel you are fighting worry recently, this 30-day daily devotional guide will help you to talk to God. Every day for the next 30 days to fight dark emotions, you’ll have at least one verse for you to study and pray through. Some days there will be a chance to follow a prayer or listen to an inspirational talk that can help you to ease your burdens. Other days it would be good therapy to jot down your view on a relevant prompt and use it as your guide through your reflections. I will be using non-affiliate links in this book. You can embark to this 30-day daily devotional guide any day of the month, but it is best to begin the first day of the month. If there are days you’ve missed please take the opportunity to go back and reflect on it. Let us live beyond the shadows of dark emotions that poison our soul. Let God’s words be your weapon and Choose Hope again and again. May you win the battle in your heart today!

Day 1 _ Heart of a Mom Devotional

When I am losing Faith…

People often begin to lose faith in God as a result of their bad life experiences, but God assures He is relentlessly

with us, fortifying and supporting us. Pray that God will comfort you to put your mind on Him, not on the situations or awful events around you. Ask Him to aid you to grown in your trust, believing He is dependable to see us through.

Hebrews 11:6 NHEB 6 Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.

Psalm 33:4-6 NHEB 4 For the word of the LORD is right. All his work is done in faithfulness. 5 He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of the LORD. 6 By the LORD's word, the heavens were made; all their army by the breath of his mouth.

Exodus 15:2 NHEB 2 The LORD is my strength and song. He has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him; my father's God, and I will exalt him.

In your journal, think of the things in your life that trigger your worry, fear, or anxiety. Pray to God and give those things to Him. Ask Him to remove your fears, help you remain in His words. Invite the Holy Spirit to start to calm your soul by changing the fear, with words of truth you just read. Write down the promises from the passages in Isaiah, Psalm and Exodus.
