• A long time ago there was a totara tree Growing.

• The tree was a tall and strong tree. It was so strong that it could knock down a giant.

name was Okatia.• You couldn’t see it• You could feel it.• It made a tree feel

•A giant tree come to a stop. His way was blocked by the Tararua and the Ruahine Mountains.The rocks were very pointy and tough, so was the tree.

The tree busted its way through the rocks and it meandered through the

mountains untill it made its way through. THE ROCKS WERE HEAVY!

They may of fell on the tree, but it kept on going.

The rocks fell to the ground and the tree formed the Manawatu gorge

The rocks were heavy and the huge rocks smashed on the ground.

The Totara tree made its way tumbling to the giant sea and formed the old Manawatu river bed, the river had blue and green streaks that shone in the morning sun light.
