Companies in Malaysia are defined as Mid Tear Companies (MTCs): i) with average annual
revenues of RM50-500 million (manufacturing) or

What is it?
• The Mid-Tier Ramp-Up Programme was introduced in 2016 • It is a 2-year extension programme for Mid-Tier Companies (MTCs) who have graduated from Mid-Tier Companies Development Programme (MTCDP) • During the two years, MTCs will continue to receive customised assistance to further enhance their market access and export capabilities

BENEFITS
• Secure effective distribution channels in the marketplace. • Intensify market deepening in high potential markets (e.g. through strategic partnerships, acquisition of companies or new business start-ups, establish presence overseas). • Collectively penetrate new markets through the pooling and sharing of costs and resources, which can mutually elevate and improve visibility of Malaysian business in foreign markets.

Be fully committed and driven to grow, with CEO and senior management dedicating ~1 day/month to the programme over the course of 9 months. 1
Be willing to share selected company information only relevant for the MTCDP programme (e.g. export revenue in markets), and engage deeply on action plans and adopt recommendations from MTC programme (Non-disclosure agreements can be signed upon request)

Be willing to invest a little, e.g. personal travel expenses and promotional costs for any promotional events overseas, while the consultation costs for Wave 3 participants will be borne entirely by MATRADE
