The DDC was developed by Melvil Dewey who, at the time, was a college student. He went on to create the first library school. His system is used in all libraries/Media Centers in order for anyone in any library or Media Center to be able to locate any book. Call numbers for non fiction books are arranged by ten different subjects, ranging from 000 900So what and how are the numbers and letters assigned to each book?62A9685LTMRH341QUThis will be a good slide to have students get into groups of three or four to briefly discuss what they really know or dont know6
