Register and Redeem an Access Code Register and Redeem an Access Code

Start at New Users, Students.

You need an ACCESS CODE to register. If you got a code with your book, click on “I already have an access code.”Or, you can buy access online.

Students with an access code will follow the on-line prompts to accept the license agreement, set up a log in name and password, redeem the access code, and fill out personal account information. The following screens illustrate the procedure.

On this Access Information screen, check•“Yes” if you have already registered/enrolled in another MyLab course•“No” if you are registering/enrolling for the first time

Create a login name and password if you are registering for the first time Next, enter the access code associated with your text.

Enter your personal data on this page.

This is the Confirmation and Summary page indicating you have registered successfully. You can either click on the Log In Now button to enroll, or return later to the www.mynursinglab.com site to ENROLL in their instructor’s course.

When you first log in, you will see the Course

Assistant tutorial box that pops up. You can work through the tutorials, or click to close.

• The first time you log in, the Self Study course will display.

• DO NOT begin to work in the Self Study course!• You must ENROLL in the instructor’s course so that

your grades will appear in the instructor’s gradebook. After the instructor-led course is over, you can work in the Self Study version of the course.

• Click on the Enroll in a Course button to enroll.

After you enroll in a course, click on the name of the course to open the course.

Your course opens to the Today’s View page first. Here you will see any announcements from your instructor. Also check the calendar for any assigned items due – you will see a clock icon on the due date of an assignment. Click on the clock icon for information on the assignment.

Click on the Course Content tab to view the content folders for your MyNursingLab course. To open any content folder, simply click on the name of the folder.

Click on the Study Plans folder to open and view all the chapter Study Plans. Click to open any chapter.

Study plans for every chapter contain a Pre Test, Study Material, and a Post Test. By taking the Pre Test, you will get feedback on what material from the chapter you have mastered, and what material you need to study. Click Begin to start the Pre Test.

Answer every question on the Pre Test, then click on Submit for Grading.

You can click on all the questions numbers at the top of the screen to get feedback on your answers. Then click on Return to Course Content.

When you return to the Course Content, you will note Study Material related to the questions you missed on the Pre Test. Simply click on the links to the Study Material, then, when you have worked through all the Study Material, take the Post Test. You can take the Post Test as many times as you’d like, continuing to review material, until you feel that you have mastered the material and are ready to move on. Click Return to Course Content when you are finished with this Study Plan.

From this screen, you can open another chapter Study Plan, or navigate back to the main Student Content screen by clicking on the red back arrow.

Click to open and explore the content in the other folders. These folders will vary slightly depending upon what course you are taking.

Click on the Grades tab, Custom View to see your scores from the Pre and Post Tests in the Study Plans.
