In order to smoothly uninstall PowerDVD, I run Task Managerand I go to Processes tab on it and then, I manually terminatethe following items: CyberLink Media Server Monitor Service,CyberLink Media Server Service, DMREngine, PowerDVD 12.For Win8 users, you can first locate them and press the[Delete] key to stop them from running quickly!

6. I double click on the Control Panel icon on my desktop andpress Uninstall a program in it.
7. Then I locate the listing CyberLink PowerDVD 12 and press[Enter] key to start its default uninstaller, InstallShield Wizard –Shown below. If you’re running a Windows Vista and beyond,you can also launch the Uninstall option on the programstable; and for Windows XP SP3 friends, you may need to clickon the "Uninstall" or "Uninstall/Change" button to uninstallPowerDVD on your machine.

12. Click Finish button on the "Uninstalling CyberLink PowerDVD12.0 …". 15. Soon, my Windows Internet Explorer 10 opens and visits thefollowing page, saying "Google Chrome has been uninstall.…". I directly close it. Moreover, if you launched/clicked on theUninstall button and nothing proceeded, or the setupapplication failed and got hung-up, the following perfectuninstaller program is a quick workaround. It will cleanlyremove Chrome without leaving any unwanted profileinformation and/or changed desktop icons!

16. Then I take the following super simple steps to remove theunused "Visual C++" applications thus, I fully uninstallPowerDVD:
Launch Uninstall option for the "C++ 2005".

Click Yes on Programs and Features.
Select Yes from the following UAC (byvc_red_enu_x86_ixp.msi; 65243b.msi). Then wait.

Again, highlight "C++ 2008" -> press the Uninstallbutton-> hit Yes on Programs and Features.
