How long should I spend listening to my child
read?
Establish a reading time, even if it is only ten minutes a day.
My child has a few favourite books which he/she enjoys hearing over
and over again. I feel we should be moving on. What should I do?
• Ask your child to bring a library book home to read to a younger sibling.
• Make a book (family pictures)
At home my child reads nothing but comics and magazines.
Does this matter? How can I encourage my child to
read ‘better’ books?
