How Big is the Popularity of Solar Energy

Solar energy is widely popular all around the world. The 15 countries who employ solar power the most are Japan, Germany, USA, China, Australia, Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, France , Austria, Norway, Sweden, Finland and UK.

Japan, Germany and USAThese three nations have the most number of solar power systems installed in residences and businesses, because these countries government provide the worlds biggest incentives for using sustainable energy systems. In Japan and Germany, the most popular solar panels are grid-tied while in the USA, most solar power systems are off the grid. Japan and Germany are industry leaders as regards to solar panels installed per person.

Germany has about 1500 MW of photovoltaic units installed through the country that is equal to 1%of the total electrical power generated around the country. Researchers have predicted that this number will reach to 25% by 2050.

ChinaChina produces about 30% of the entire worlds solar power. The capacity of installed solar panels is around 50 Megawatts in China. By 2020, the government is planning to up this number by 20 Gigawatts. In the next decade, renewable energy is expected to generate about 15% of Chinas total energy.

AustraliaAustralia currently generates about 100 Megawatts of photovoltaic generated energy that is only .1% of the Australias overall electricity production. The climate Of Australia is perfect for solar energy installations, so why isnt solar energy more popular there? The reason is that solar panel systems do not come cheap; however the country has plans to create one of the biggest solar power plant that can produce up to 450 MW of electricity, that is enough to power up 450,000 homes

CanadaCanada uses photovoltaic energy mainly for water and space heating. It chiefly uses standalone off-grid units that power over 15000 residences and more than 300 industrial sized solar water heating systems.

IsraelThe country of Israel does not have its own oil reserves and do not have good relations with the neighboring countries that do. Therefore they are always on the lookout for renewable energy solutions to make them independent when generating electricity. The country has plenty of sunshine and use it mostly to heat water.

KenyaSolar energy is also being used in developing countries of Africa. There is a huge market of solar energy panels in Kenya where customers buy basic-level modules to generate electricity.

IndiaIndia employs the use of both on-grid and off-grid solar systems. It uses solar power in solar cookers, water pumps, water heater and off-grid solar powered street lights. A large part of the country does not have access to electrical utility grids creating a big demand for solar power. Over 16000 homes in the rural areas were given finances to install photovoltaic systems in India.
