themselves to you. A lion cub is Judah; from the prey, my

The Two House Teaching

To grasp The Two House Restoration teaching, one must befamiliar with four significant events in the Tanakh (an acronymfor Torah, Prophets and Writings):

1. Two promises made to Abraham: Physical multiplicity and

the Land.2. Yisrael's division into two kingdoms (The Northern Kingdom,

Yisrael, and the Southern Kingdom, Judah) after the death of

King Solomon (Shlomo)

3. The subsequent exile of the ten tribes of Yisrael and their

scattering and assimilation within the nations to which they

were dispersed.

4. The Prophets' pronouncements that these Two Houses of

Yisrael would be reunited and restored as one kingdom.

Hoshea 1:1-6 (excerpted) (ISR) The word of YHWH thatcame to Hoshea.And YHWH said to Hoshea, Go, take

yourself a woman of whoring and children of whoring, for

the land has utterly whored away from YHWH. 3 So he

went and took Gomerand she conceived and bore

him a son. 4 And YHWH said to him, Call his nameYizreel, for in a little while I shall revenge the bloodshed of

Yizreel on the house of Yehu, and put an end to the reign of

the house of Yisrael. 5 And it shall be in that day that I

shall break the bow of Yisrael in the Valley of Yizreel.

6 And she conceived again and bore a daughter. And He said

to him, Call her name Lo-Ruhamah, for no longer do I

have compassion on the house of Yisrael so as to forgive

them at all.

Hoshea 8:8-13 (ISR) 8 Yisrael has been swallowed up.They have now become among the n ations as a vessel in

which is no pleasure. 9 For they themselves have gone up to

Ashshur. A wild donkey alone by itself is Ephrayim, they

have hired lovers. 10 Also, although they sold themselves

among the nations, this time I shall gather them, when theyhave suffered for a while from the burden of a sovereign, of

rulers. 11 Since Ephrayim has made many altars for sin, they

have been altars for sinning to him. 12 I have written for him

numerous matters of My Torah they were regarded as

strange. 13 As for My offerings: they slaughter flesh and they

eat. YHWH shall not accept them. Now does He remember

their crookedness and punish their sins. Let

them return to Mitsrayim!

Hoshea 9: 3-5 (ISR) 3 They shall not dwell in the land ofYHWH, but Ephrayim shall return to Mitsrayim, and eat

unclean food in Ashshur. 4 They do not pour wine offerings

to YHWH, nor are their offerings pleasing to Him it being

like bread of mourners to them, all who eat it are defiled. For

their bread is for their life, it does not come into the House ofYHWH. 5 What do you do for the appointed meeting,

and in the day of the festival of YHWH?

Note:

Food This word is not in the Hebrew text. It simply reads that theyshall eat unclean (tame) in Ashshur/Assyria. There is no such thing as

unclean food, since food (achlah) is a noun, in Hebrew that comes

from the verb indicating that which may be eaten (achal, to eat). Tameis

not food, that which may be eaten.

Hoshea 1:10-11 (ISR) 10 Yet the number of thechildren of Yisrael shall be as the sand of the sea,

which is not measured nor counted. And it shall be

in the place where it was said to them, You are not

My people, they shall be called, You are the sonsof the living El. 11 And the children of Yehudah

and the children of Yisrael shall be gathered

together, and appoint for themselves one

head, and shall come up out of the earth, for great isthe day of Yizreel!

I Do Not Bear a Grudge Forever

Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 3: 12 - 14 (ISR) 12 Go andproclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return,

O backsliding Yisrael, declares YHWH, I shall not

look on you in displeasure, for I am kind, declares

YHWH, and I do not bear a grudge forever. 13 Only,

acknowledge your crookedness, because you have

transgressed against YHWH your Elohim, and have

scattered your ways to strangers under every green tree,

and you have not obeyed My voice, declares YHWH.

14 Return, O backsliding children, declares YHWH,for I shall rule over you, and shall take you, one from a

city and two from a clan, and shall bring you to Tsiyon.

The Nations Gathered to YHWH

Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 3: 15 - 17 (ISR) 15 And I shallgive you shepherds according to My heart, and they

shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. 16

And it shall be, when you have increased, and shall

bear fruit in the land in those days, declares YHWH,

that they no longer say, The ark of the covenant of

YHWH. Neither would it come to heart, nor would they

remember it, nor would they visit it, nor would it be

made again. 17 At that time Yerushalayim shall be called

the throne of YHWH, and all the nations shall begathered to it, to the Name of YHWH, to Yerushalayim,

and no longer walk after the stubbornness of their evil

heart.

Judah and Israel Come Together

Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 3: 18 (ISR) In those daysthe house of Yehudah shall go to the house of

Yisrael, and they shall come together out of the

land of the north to the land that I have given as an

inheritance to your fathers.

Key Points/questions:

The exile is not forever, but both Houses of Israel

will be gathered to the Land, and the Nations will be

drawn to Jerusalem to call upon the Name ofYHWH.

Yechezqel/Ezekiel 36: 22-24 (ISR) 22 Therefore say tothe house of Yisrael, Thus said the Master YHWH, I

do not do this for your sake, O house of Yisrael, but for

My set-apart Names sake, which you have profaned

among the gentiles wherever you went. 23 And I shall setapart My great Name, which has been profaned among

the gentiles, which you have profaned in their midst. And

the gentiles shall know that I am YHWH, declares the

Master YHWH, when I am set-apart in you before theireyes. 24 And I shall take you from among the gentiles,

and I shall gather you out of all lands, and I shall bring

you into your own land.

My Spirit Within You

Yechezqez/Ezekiel 36: 25-28 (ISR) 25And I shall

sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean

from all your filthiness and from all your idols I cleanse

you. 26 And I shall give you a new heart and put a new

spirit within you. And I shall take the heart of stone out

of your flesh, and I shall give you a heart of flesh, 27

and put My Spirit within you. And I shall cause you to

walk in My laws and guard My right-rulings and shall

do them. 28 And you shall dwell in the land that I gave

to your fathers. And you shall be My people, and I shall

be your Elohim.

Comments on Yechezqel 36:22-28

Key Points/questions: Spoken to the House of Israel, the Northern Kingdom;

Israel shall dwell in the Land of their fathers.

YHWHs Name has been profaned by the House of Israel

among the nations.

The nations will know that YHWH isYHWH whenYHWH regathers the House of Israel from where they are

scattered.

This regathering of the House of Israel is characterized

by replacing a heart of stone with a heart of flesh, placing

YHWHs Set Apart inside, the Spirit literally causing

obedience toYahs own chuqqim and mishpatim.

Question: Is it possible forYahs Spirit to dwell inside

someone and tell them to disregardYahs lawsand

right-rulings?

Dry Bones = Whole House of Israel

Yechezqel/Ezekiel 37: 11-13 (ISR) And He said to me, Son

of man, these bones are all the house of Yisrael. See, they

say, Our bones are dry, our expectancy has perished, and we

ourselves have been cut off! 12 Therefore prophesy, and you

shall say to them, Thus said the Master YHWH, See, O Mypeople, I am opening your graves, and shall bring you up

from your graves, and shall bring you into the land of

Yisrael. 13 And you shall know that I am YHWH, when I

open your graves, O My people, and bring you up from yourgraves. 14 And I shall put My Spirit in you, and you shall

live, and I shall settle you in your own land. And you shall

know that I YHWH have spoken, and I have done it,

declares YHWH.

Ezekiel 37:11 (NASB) Then He said to me, "Son ofman, these bones are the whole house of Israel; behold,

they say, 'Our bones are dried up and our hope has

perished. We are completely cut off.

Both Houses are dry bones until Spirit revives

them. Rashi, Rabbi Shlomo benYitchaki (1040

1105 CE), one of the most respected of the rabbiniccommentators within Orthodox Judaism, agrees,

saying:

these bones are all the house of IsraelThey are

an intimation and an example of the entirehouse of Israel in their exile, for they say, Our

bones have become dried up from the troubles;

our hope is lost, and what further hope can we

have for salvation?

The Two Stick (Tree) Prophecy

Yechezqel/Ezekiel 37:15-17 (ISR) 15 And the word of YHWH

came to me, saying, 16 And you, son of man, take a stick for

yourself and write on it, For Yehudah and for the children of

Yisrael, his companions. Then take another stick and write on it,

For Yoseph, the stick of Ephrayim, and for all the house ofYisrael, his companions. 17 Then bring them together for

yourself into one stick, and they shall become one in your hand.


The Two Sticks becomeOne Stick (again) in the hand ofYHWH.

This is a key passage of prophetic Scripture that has not come

to pass. We know it has not happened yet because of the

explanation of the prophecy given in the verses that follow.

Yechezqel/Ezekiel 37:18-21 (ISR)18 And when thechildren of your people speak to you, saying, Wont you

show us what you mean by these? 19 say to them, Thus

said the Master YHWH, See, I am taking the stick of

Yoseph, which is in the hand of Ephrayim, and the tribes ofYisrael, his companions. And I shall give them unto him,

with the stick of Yehudah, and make them one stick, and they

shall be one in My hand. 20 And the sticks on which you

write shall be in your hand before their eyes. 21 And speak to

them, Thus said the Master YHWH, See, I am taking the

children of Yisrael from among the gentiles, wherever they

have gone, and shall gather them from all around, and I shall

bring them into their land.

nor with any of their transgressions. And I shall save them

from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and

I shall cleanse them. And they shall be My people, and I betheir Elohim, 24 while Dawid My servant is sovereign over

them. And they shall all have one shepherd and walk in My

right-rulings and guard My laws, and shall do them.

Yechezqel/Ezekiel 37:25-28 (ISR)25 And they shall dwellin the land that I have given to Yaaqob My servant, where

your fathers dwelt. And they shall dwell in it, they and their

children and their childrens children, forever, and My

servant Dawid be their prince forever. 26 And I shall make acovenant of peace with them an everlasting covenant it is

with them. And I shall place them and increase them, and

shall place My set-apart place in their midst, forever. 27 And

My Dwelling Place shall be over them. And I shall be their

Elohim, and they shall be My people. 28 And the gentiles

shall know that I, YHWH, am setting Yisrael apart, when

My set-apart place is in their midst forever.

This needs little additional comment other than to

say that these prophecies have never come to pass to

this day.

YHWH will take the Children of Israel, wherever

they have been scattered, and bring them into their

own land.

There will be a everlasting Covenant of Peace, which

was previously prophesied inYechezqel 34 and also by

Yeshayahu/Isaiah (Chapter 54).

They will be One Nation, with One King.

According to the text, the King will be David. In

some places in the Aramaic Targummim (plural of

Targum) the Aramaic translation with commentary on

the Tanach, where the Hebrew text says David, the

Aramaic text says Messiah, Son of David, e.g.Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 30:9 and Hoshea/Hosea 4:5. It

does not appear here inYechezqel, but probably

should be interpreted as such in order to be consistent

with these other texts.

This Exodus is not the return of Judah from

Babylon in the days of Ezra and Nechemiah, sincethe Scripture also says from all the lands where

YHWH had driven them, and when Judah was

ever in distress, the nations never flocked to Judah

to say Our fathers have inherited lies.

There is a Greater Exodus that will dwarf the

Exodus from Egypt, and it still is a future

prophetic event.

In order to fill Judahs bow with Ephraim

you have to have Ephraim.

The sons ofZion are fighting against the sons of Greece.

Weve seen indications of this historically during the time

of the Macabbees, but during this time, Ephraim was still

dispersed in the nations. During the Macabbean period,

Judah filled Judahs bow with Judah, not Ephraim.

Could this be a prophetic indicator that the sons ofZion

willHebraic mindset and are fighting against the Greco-

Roman mindset of the modern church?

Obadyah 1:15-20 (excerpted) (ISR) For the day of

YHWH is near upon all the gentiles. As you have done, it

shall be done to you, your reward shall come back on your

own head.But on Mount Tsiyon there shall be an

escape, and they shall be set-apart. And the house of

Yaaqob shall possess their possessions. 18 And the houseof Yaaqob shall be a fire, and the house of Yoseph a

flame, but the house of Esaw for stubble. And they shall

burn among them and they shall consume them, so that no

survivor is left of the house of Esaw. For YHWH hasspoken. .and the exiles of this host of the children of

Yisraelpossess that of the Kenaanites as far as

Tsarephath, and the exiles of Yerushalayim who are in

Sepharad possess the cities of the South.

to Me, O children of Yisrael? declares YHWH. Did I not

bring up Yisrael from the land of Mitsrayim, and the

eyes of the Master YHWH are on the sinful reign, and Ishall destroy it from the face of the earth, except that, I do

not completely destroy the house of Yaaqob, declares

of My people are going to die by the sword, those who are

saying, Evil does not overtake us nor meet us.

House of Jacob means the whole House of Israel.

The northern kingdom is to be sifted and mixed among

the nations, but not a grain falls to the ground. Amos 9: 12 is quoted in Acts 15 to help show why

those from the nations are coming to faith in the Messiah

of Yisrael.

In Amos 9: 11, the Aramaic Targum reads raise the

Kingdom of the House of David, which has fallen, to

stone (repair) the cities and the synagogues/gatherings ,

and to raise the corpses.to complete and build/rebuild

for the days of eternity.

Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 31: 15-19 (ISR) 15 Thus said YHWH, Avoice was heard in Ramah, wailing, bitter weeping, Rachel

weeping for her children, refusing to be comforted for her

children, because they are no more. 16 Thus said YHWH, Hold

back your voicefrom weeping, and your eyes from tears, for there

is a reward for your work, declares YHWH, and they shallreturn from the land of the enemy. 17 And there is expectancy for

your latter end, declares YHWH, and your children shall return

to their own country. 18 I have clearly heard Ephrayim lamenting,

You have chastised me, and I was chastised, like an untrained

calf. Turn me back, and I shall turn back, for You are YHWH my

Elohim. 19 For after my turning back, I repented. And after I was

instructed, I struck myself on the thigh. I was ashamed, even

humiliated, for I bore the reproach of my youth.

against him, I still remembered him. That is why My

affections were deeply moved for him. I have great

make landmarks; set your heart toward the highway, the way

in which you went. Turn back, O maiden of Yisrael, turn

back to these cities of yours! 22 Till when would you turn

here and there, O backsliding daughter? For YHWH has

And in Yehudah and allits cities farmers and those who journey with flocks, shall dwell

together. 25 For I shall fill the weary being, and I shall replenish

my sleep was sweet to me. 27 See, the days are coming,

Hoshea 5:14-6:3 (ISR) 14 For I am like a lion to Ephrayim,

and like a young lion to the house of Yehudah. I Myself tear

them and go, I take them away, and there is no one to deliver.

15 I shall go, I shall return to My place, until they confess

their guilt and seek My face, in their distress diligentlysearch for Me, and say, 6:1 Come, and let us turn back to

YHWH. For He has torn but He does heal us, He has stricken

but He binds us up. 2 After two days He shall revive us, on

the third day He shall raise us up, so that we live before Him.3 So let us know, let us pursue to know YHWH. His going

forth is as certain as the morning. And He comes to us like

the rain, like the latter rain watering the earth.

When Does This Happen?

Both time-based (After two days.on the third day) and

event-based (confess, seek, search, turn back to YHWH).

Are the days here thousand-year days? Is this to be

understood as saying two thousand-year days after Judah wasdevoured by a young lion they (Israel and Judah) will be

revived, and in the third thousand-year day will be

resurrected?

An ancient understanding of this passage is reflected in the

Aramaic Targum for Hoshea 6:2, which says that this is the

day of the resurrection of the dead, made to stand and live as

before.

type/shadow of the Day of YHWH, also described in

similar language (i.e. Day of Cloud, thick Darknessidiomatic from Yom YHWH).

Yoel/Joel 2: 1-2 (ISR) Blow a rams horn in Tsiyon, and

sound an alarm in My set-apart mountain! Let all the inhabitants

of the earth tremble, for the day of YHWH is coming, for

it is near: 2 a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and

thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains a people many and strong, the like of whom has never been, nor

shall there ever be again after them, to the years of many

generations.

Jacobs Distress, aka Jacobs Trouble both Houses of Israel

impacted. In order for both Houses to be in distress, you have

to have both My People Israel and My People Judah.

A day none like it, just like Yom YHWH, just like the day the

northern kingdom of Israel was taken into captivity.

Could Jacobs Trouble be the final birthpangs ofMessiah of the tribulation period?

The time of great distress and fear, yet this is also the time of

turning back the captivity as Jacob is saved out of it.
