Fasting Instructions For February
Our New Member V.I.P. Class The new member class has resumed with an updated
format and new requirement. Per the November 2015
by-laws, all new members are required to complete
the 7-session V.I.P. (Very Important People) course
prior to becoming a full fledged member of Pilgrim
Rest Baptist Church. Until this requirement has been
met, new members cannot serve in any ministry or
vote in any election and on all questions submitted to
the church.
The requirement applies to all adults 18 years of age
or older who have joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church
since January 1, 2015, including reinstated members.
If you did not complete a V.I.P. class in 2015 or are
newly joined in 2016, plan to attend now. New
members can elect to start either February 7 (Week
5 of the current course) or February 28 (Week 1 of
the next scheduled offering). Additional information
about registration options will be provided.
Are you between the ages
of 18 and 45? Are there
some goals you want to
accomplish in 2016? Are
you ready to reach your
greatest potential? If you
answered YES to any of
these questions then
please make plans to join the young adult
class. Our class resumes Sunday,
February 7 at 9:30am in the fellowship
hall. For the next few weeks we will be
reading and discussing the book How Successful People Grow by John C.
Maxwell. If you haven't already, stop by
the young adult table in the foyer to
pick up your copy today for $7. We look
forward to seeing you there!
Our Young Adult Class
We are taking Bible study on the road!
Invite your family, friends, and your
neighbors to take this road trip with
you. We will meet at Regal Cinemas at
Lansing Mall (5330 W Saginaw Hwy) on
February 17 at 6:30pm to view the
movie RISEN. The following Wednesday
(February 23) we will come back to PRBC
for a round table type discussion about
the movie. Tickets are $8 and can be
purchased before or after each bible
study session and on Sundays before and
after the 8am and 11am services.

HELPING THOSE IN NEED AT PRBC
Thank you Pilgrim Rest Family for your generous giving of
gifts to all of the Angel Tree children. The joy on the faces
of the children as they received their gifts at the
Christmas celebration, and the love that was shown to their
parent/guardian from PRBC Go Ye Ministry was much
appreciated.
