The following infographic sheds some light on house cleaning and maidservices statistics in the U.S. and abroad. Slightly more than half of Americansprefer to clean on a weekly basis, with women putting more emphasis on theimportance of a clean home than men. It’s no surprise then that women spend anaverage of nearly thirteen thousand hours cleaning over the course of theirlifetimes. There are nearly 900,000 maids currently employed in the UnitedStates, with the largest employers being, Florida, Texas, California, New York,and Pennsylvania. Worldwide, there are 52 million people employed asdomestic workers, over 21 million of whom are employed in Asia and thePacific. Latin America and the Caribbean come in at a close second with nearly20 million.
