Hotel Convergence is a Hotel for the Modern Art enthusiast. The interiors are inspired by the modern art move-ment and contains exemplary artwork. A large sculpture by Frank Stella is located in the Reception area.

The interior plan and its form was inspired by Kandinsky’s painting ‘Accent En Rose’. The Hotel has an open plan with spaces serving certain functions conveniently located for the visitor and guest. This influence is strongly seen in the colour palette and well as the brand logo of Hotel Convergence.

The overall concept is geometric shapes in an interior environment and is best seen in the plan and section (shown).

Frank Stella is an artist whose work is closely related to that of Kandinsky’s but is executed with a modern touch and in an individual style. This sculpture K.43 is from the Scarlatti K Series and is made from Protogen RPT with stain-less steel tubing. (Photo credit: Gregory R. Staley; source: Flickr.com)
