Just a very short report this month as I am desperately trying to get organised for a trip up to the Kimberleys, and am running way behind schedule.
The PCAV State Championship Horse Trials were run recently (1st&2nd May) at Tonimbuk, and whilst there won’t be any shie lds hanging in our clubrooms this year, our girls did a great job over the two days. Congratulations to Kasey, Mary, Naomi & Georgie - just to qualify for this event is an achievement in itself – well done.
The Yeringberg Team Horse Trials (16th May) will have been run by now. We entered four teams of four riders - I hope you did well and all had a great day.
SPC membership
As we have been warning you in the last couple of newsletters, we are taking a hard stand on membership fees this year.
SPC membership fees & PCAV insurance must be paid in full at this rally. We currently have about fifteen people on our waiting list – if your renewal form and fees are not submitted by this rally, we will assume that you are not returning, and we will put a new member in your place. If you are not going to be at this rally, you must post your payment immediately.
Payment at the June rally will not be accepted. Please, we are very serious about this, no money now = no membership.
As we are doing C Certificate training this month, the normal rally groups will be arranged a bit differently – please check the rally plan.
We are not really getting the help we need for set–up & pack-up on Rally days. Please check the roster on page 3 and ensure that if it is your group’s turn, make sure that you actually turn up and do it.
Speaking of which, we are doing a couple of different things at this rally, and as I won’t be there, a bit of extra help during set-up and pack-up would be greatly appreciated.
I hope the Barra are biting - Gary.

We have some new members that will be starting in June, so please make them feel welcome and lend them a hand if needed.
Rally Groups
Keep an eye on the group colour you are in. I am currently making changes so have a look and ensure you are in the right colour.
On a final sad note, we would like to send our deepest sympathy to all involved at Tintern on Mother’s Day weekend. We take this opportunity to reflect on how things can go wrong, that safety is always first, yet even then all can be going fine and with a simple trip or fall, everything can turn very bad.
My heart goes out to the families involved and l hope all riders have a speedy recovery.
See you at May Rally. Cheers Kerri Mc
Hi all,
Well it is already May rally, and doesn’t time fly when you are having fun. Please make sure you have your form and membership money for this rally because no money = no pony club. We pay PCAV all insurance fees in May so all of the PCAV cards can be reissued on time and our members can get out there and continue to safely compete.
State Champs
Well done to the girls that competed at state champs— we might not have done as well as last year but it takes time and a lot of work to get there. Your Seville Pony Club family are very proud of you a n d t h a n k y o u f o r representing your Club.
C Certificate
The paper work has been sent in and the members sitting C will be on the 13th of July 2010 at Ringwood Pony Club. l will let you know times.

Our Sympathy and
Support To the riders, families and friends associated with the
very sad deaths of two beloved horses at the Tintern Horse Trials on the
Mother’s Day weekend, we extend our heartfelt sympathy and support.
Two unavoidable incidents occurred, through no fault of rider,
horse or cross country course which resulted in the humane
euthanasing of two four legged friends.
And to those riders injured in any falls, we wish them a speedy recovery.
The Tintern School Event Committee handled the unexpected occurrences
with dignity, understanding and great professionalism.
From all of us at the Seville Pony Club.
