PATIENT MONITORING USING GSM AND RF

FOR HOSPITAL AND ADULT HOMES

 Abstract:

The project utilizes the VB as the back end, with the help of 

KEIL C based device driver !hile the e"bedded s#ste" as the front$

end of the project Thus the project is %r"ware based This project

allows a person to "onitor the status of a patient, which is otherwise

called as bio"etric "onitorin&' via the s#ste" The para"eters

e(a"ined are the te"perature, heartbeat and the pressure is

"onitored b# use of )real ti"e "onolithic sensor*, since the real ti"e

"onitors are si&ni%cantl# "uch costl#, the te"perature or heartbeat

or an# other pressure +uantit# which is to be "easured is fed to the

analo& to di&ital converter which is "easured b# "eans of its

correspondin& sensors for e& te"perature - L./0 )real ti"e

"onolithic sensor*, pressure -pressure transducer )real ti"e

"onolithic sensor*, heart rate - heart rate "onitors available in

"arkets )real ti"e "onolithic sensor*

The output fro" these sensors is fed to a "ulti channel analo&

to di&ital converters This has "ultiple(ed selection of data thus

thereb# selectin& the re+uired input at once The output of 12C is 3

bit binar# data the "icrocontroller reads the data and then displa#s in

LC2 and also provides the respective codes for the printer port there

b# instructin& co runnin& d#na"ic link librar# %les to read the

respective data fro" parallel port, which is desi&ned with the help of 

Keil C for further co""unication with VB

The correspondin& para"eters are then displa#ed on the s#ste"
