Freshman Business Education Elective Options

• INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS-– Will provide a basic understanding of business concepts

and how they are important to our economic system. Topics covered include an introduction to business, international business, economics, consumer, finance, and business careers.

• MULTI-MEDIA & WEB DESIGN-– Will teach proficiency in digital media. Software includes

Flash, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Movie Maker. Students will create presentations using videos, animation, graphics and digital images. A significant portion of this class will involve web design. Students will incorporate features learned in Flash, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver to create websites

Business Education Course Offerings Continued

• KEYBOARDING-– Is designed to teach the students to “touch type” while

giving the student a working knowledge of the computer so that they will be able to type letters, reports and other business documents with accuracy and speed.

• MICROSOFT INFORMATION MANAGEMENT-– This course allows students to explore computer concepts,

careers in the computer field and societal issues surrounding computers and data security. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Desktop Publishing will be covered. In addition to traditional style assignments students will develop projects of interest to themselves.
