Set in the heart of the beautiful West Sussex countryside, Horsham Sports Club has been at this magnificent location since 1851.
The clubhouse and picturesque ground overlooks Denne Hill yet is only a five minute walk from the town centre. The clubhouse
has a fully licensed bar with Wi-Fi, Sky TV, BT Sport, Darts and Pool. Overlooking one of the finest Cricket grounds in the County
this unique venue also has two function rooms available to hire
Parking is available to members and guests using the club facilities.
We have regular quiz nights, jazz nights, band nights, and pilates, plus big annual events including the Family Fireworks Evening
in October, a spring Beer Festival and the Big Gig Music Festival during the summer.
SPORTING SECTIONS The Club has four constituent sports sections – the Cricket Club, Hockey Club, Lawn Tennis Club, and the Squash Club. Members
of the sports sections include players at county, national and international level and all have flourishing junior sections.
Members of a sporting section are also social members of the main club.
SOCIAL SECTION You don’t have to be a member to enjoy the bar facilities, book a private function at the club or attend a club event but
members are able to enjoy 20% discount on drinks and special room hire rates. Couple membership and individual memberships
are available – Pick up a membership form from the club or download a form from the website.
CLUB HIRE We have two function rooms available to hire for wedding receptions, parties, functions, meetings, training days, funeral
receptions and conferences. Members are able to book either room at a discounted rate.
The larger of the two rooms is The Clubroom, which holds up to 120 people and overlooks the main cricket pitch, local parish
church and Denne Hill. There is a private bar area, sitting area and a dance floor. Hirers have use of the tables and chairs and are
free to arrange the room layout however they wish. The room is ideal for larger functions and is suitable for functions with a
disco or live music. There is a partition so the room can be divided into two separate areas if desired. There is a stair lift for
disabled access and also a disabled toilet on the same level as the clubroom.
The smaller of the two rooms is The Gallery, which holds up to 70 people. This overlooks the grounds and has a beautiful view of
Denne Hill. Please note there is no disabled access to this room.

We offer a full catering service, including morning and afternoon refreshments, lunch and evening buffets as well as sit down
meals. Meetings and conference facilities include Wi Fi internet access, projector screen, use of Flip chart, pads and pens, and
photocopying service.
SPORTS SECTIONS
Horsham CC is a thriving club with three Men’s Saturday XIs, a Sunday U19 Development XI, a Ladies XI, Thursday XI plus a junior
section for boys and girls from U8 to U16. The club also runs ‘All Stars’ mini cricket for 5- 7yr olds. Full details about membership

There are two cricket pitches at the club - the Main Square and the John Dew Ground. The main square is a county cricket out
ground. In addition there are grass practice nets and an artificial net complex which was opened in April 2011.
Junior teams are entered into the IDL league, North Mid Sussex Leagues (NMSL) Girls Leagues (soft and hard ball) as well as
ECB national knockout competitions. Matches are played at weekends or weekday evenings from late April- Late July. Teams
play in the Sussex Junior Cricket Festival during the school holidays.
Horsham Hockey Club is one of the top hockey clubs in the South. The Ladies 1st XI play in the National League East Conference; and the Men’s 1st XI play in the Kent/Sussex Regional league. There are 6 Ladies and 5 Men’s sides, including ‘Development’ and ‘Vets’ teams. There is also a thriving junior section with over two hundred members, from the age of six upwards.
Horsham Lawn Tennis Club is a long-established and thriving club offering tennis for all standards from social & family play to competitive league. There are five all weather hard courts, all floodlit, available until 10pm each day. There are four grass courts available from May to September -11am to dusk-weather permitting. Club sessions include men’s night, club team night, ladies mornings, & social tennis. Teams play in the Sussex County Leagues and The Dorking & Leatherhead Summer Leagues. There is an annual members’ tournament, & social mixed competitions. Coaching Very young children start in our Mini Tennis Red programme, run offsite. Once players reach a predetermined playing level they join in with coaching at Horsham Tennis Club. For further details contact LTA coach Tessa Walder (01403 256806). Pay and play group coaching for Junior members/non-members of all abilities are run every Saturday morning by club coach Glyn Jukes (LTA L3) & his assistants. After school during term times Glyn also runs junior tennis squads. Glyn also provides coaching for Adults of all standards – as part of a ‘rusty rackets’ course for small groups or on an individual basis.
Horsham Squash Club has three championship glass backed courts, a seated spectators’ area and showering/changing facilities. The Club offers facilities for players of all standards and ages from beginners and occasional players up to first team standard. (The men’s 1st team plays in the Sussex Premier league) If you are just starting out or are keen to take your squash to the next level of skill and ability, then Horsham Squash Club is the place for you. After a five-year absence, Sussex Sharks will play a Royal London One-Day Cup fixture vs Gloucestershire at the height of the summer on SUNDAY 9th AUGUST starting at 11am. We will be hosting a Hospitality tent featuring a two course lunch a with Pimms Reception, Beer and Wine on Table and Guest Speaker, with entry and car parking thrown in and a beer garden for a great view of the match. Sponsorship opportunities will extend to match day advertising boards and coverage in our match day programme and online, these could develop into long term deals with the club for greater exposure. HCC is a thriving club with Men’s and Women’s teams, a Junior Section for boys and girls from U8 to U16 and mini cricket for 5-7
year olds. The Club welcomes back our County Cricket Festival as well as hosting 2nd XI County fixtures, regional finals for ECB
cup competitions and other matches.
In addition to cricket Horsham Sports Club, the parent organisation for the Cricket Club, provides squash, tennis and football
facilities on site and hosts Horsham Hockey Club as well as organising events such as a beer festival, a fireworks evening, The Big
Gig music event and various social functions in the club rooms. All of this provides ample opportunities for sponsors to get
