Hornby™ Trakmat® Layout

The Hornby™ Trakmat® layout measures 180 x 120 cm (that’s about 6’ x 4’ in old money). I supply the following: • Plywood framed, cross braced baseboard with 9mm thick MDF top. • Hornby™ Trakmat® fixed to baseboard top. • Hornby track laid and pinned. • Wired for two independent ovals.

At a cost of £475. (50% payable at time of order, 50% on completion or collection.)

Trains, controllers, buildings and scenic accessories are not included with the layout.

Because I am not a Hornby™ dealer. It

is cheaper for you to buy them direct rather than through me. • Why is delivery so expensive? Because a large, heavy item like this is difficult to pack safely and

outside the scope of most couriers. You may find it better to hire a van and collect the layout from my workshop. This will give you the chance to see the layout and ask any questions. If you want to make a day of it there are a variety of attractions nearby including the Severn Valley Railway, the Ironbridge Gorge museums and the RAF Museum at Cosford.

• Can I have it split into two boards? Well you can, but it increases the cost and makes it harder to set up as all the places where the tracks cross the board joins have to be aligned correctly.

• When can I have one? The layouts are built to order, so it depends on my workload and order book. Order early rather than at the last minute.
