TOYOTA AWARD NYK has got "The Best Quality Achievement Award for Year 2012" from Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Engineering & Manufacturing (TMAP-EM). We attain this achievement because our services rendering and performance are met with and up to their required standards. The laid-down criteria cover various aspects containing vessel punctuali- ty, communication quality, schedule quality, documentation quality, and bonus point for value-added services but minus count for penalty or fail- ure. Based on these elements, TMAP-EM assesses the services and oper- ations of respective participating lines month by month, accumulates all of the score the whole year, and then comes up with the final results. Again for this time, NYK demonstrates the superiority, particularly on the enthusiasm to respond to their requests, on the on-time and accurate documentation quality, on the support of backup and reschedule of the vessel, on the communication in a crisis and risk situation, etc. On December 21, 2012, the key and management staff of NYK Line (Thailand) joined TMAP-EM prize-giving ceremony. Our MD Nattapan Sirirattanapol, as a representative of NYK, received the award which was presented by Mr. Masato Yoshimoto, Vice President of Logistics Division. TOYOTA AWARD

NYK has got "The Best Quality Achievement Award for Year 2012" from

Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Engineering & Manufacturing (TMAP-EM). We

attain this achievement because our services rendering and performance

are met with and up to their required standards.

The laid-down criteria cover various aspects containing vessel punctuali-

ty, communication quality, schedule quality, documentation quality, and

bonus point for value-added services but minus count for penalty or fail-

ure. Based on these elements, TMAP-EM assesses the services and oper-

ations of respective participating lines month by month, accumulates all

of the score the whole year, and then comes up with the final results.

Again for this time, NYK demonstrates the superiority, particularly on the

enthusiasm to respond to their requests, on the on-time and accurate

documentation quality, on the support of backup and reschedule of the

vessel, on the communication in a crisis and risk situation, etc.

On December 21, 2012, the key and management staff of NYK Line

(Thailand) joined TMAP-EM prize-giving ceremony. Our MD Nattapan

Sirirattanapol, as a representative of NYK, received the award which was

presented by Mr. Masato Yoshimoto, Vice President of Logistics Division.

It goes without saying getting appreciation and recognition from our cus-

tomer could not make possible had it not been for the concerted efforts,

the joint collaboration, and contribution from all concerned. Cheer!

Day 2 is a session of workshop focusing on this year's theme and trained by an ex-ternal consultant. Participants are divided into 4 groups to brainstorm, share, and exchange the ideas on how to “Continually Develop Diverse Talents at All Group Companies across Global Fields”. Each group collects and comes up with many ideas, schemes, and processes to encourage and develop the talents for NYK.

Day 3 is quite tense. Respective groups make and wrap up their presentation. The presentation shows a spirit of teamwork and collaboration. Participating in the regional NYK week is a bit tough yet many precious experiences and new ideas, new ways of thinking and new friends gain. Joining this forum avails me to learn many things about NYK as well as learn many good pointers, especially about concept, opinion and experiences shared among the attendees - who come from different NYK Group of companies and many countries.

Shortly after the sun has fading away, 2 big flags of NYK traditional logo - in white cloth with 2 red stripes - emerge in the sky and undulate against the wind. On the boat, scores of NYK colleagues pleasingly wave their hands, hailing and inviting those on shore on board.

However, key staff and top management unceasingly kid around, make fun and parade to join the plays. All participants and the audiences enjoy together amazingly.

Party-goers also relish riverside sight-seeing. Wat Arun, Wat Phra Kaew and The Grand Palace are among the scenery while cruising along the Chao Phraya River. Not least, those in luck dis-embark and back home with prizes and grand prizes even more happily.

To enhance HR system and facilitate the staff, new HR E-Application - run on a Web-based via LAN network - will be implemented in June 1, 2013. Meantime, training to a pilot group has been arranged on March 13, 2013 and followed by 2-week testing till end March before such launching.

'Cold weather' came around again to the North, the Northeast and the West of Thailand during end November last year. High pressure from mainland China brought along the wind, low temperature and coldness. And, during this period, it is always a hard time for the poor and the under-privileged, in particular for those residing in rural and remote areas. There should be something to help alleviate/shield them from the chilliness.

Sharing the hardship and difficulty, on 12/12/2012, NYK Line (Thailand) donated 748 sheets of Fleece Blanket to the Thai Red Cross Society for them to make further con-tribution to the needy. And, for this time, this charitable organization had outreach our donated blankets to the Karen hill tribe people (or Karieng people in Thai) who are dwell-ing in Kanchanaburi Province.

We learn that one family would get 2 sheets of blanket for sharing one another for around 8-10 members, for sure the clothes are primarily used for keeping their body warm. However, when winter season goes, the garments are usable for many other purposes like as a blind to protect the sunlight, as a cradle for caring the kids, as a shade to guard the rain, and still when worn out, it is served as a rag.

Corporate social responsibility is always in NYK's mind. Our contribution is not only made with caring and sharing spirit but also for the betterment of society.
