As of April 1, 2011, NYK Group has renewed its corporate logo with the underlying concepts of: 1) Enhancing the unity of the NYK Group; 2) Representing all business activities of the NYK Group other than those companies engaged in logis- tics business; and 3) Avoiding confusion with the logo of Yusen Logistics Co. Ltd., which was founded in October 2010, and bearing almost similar emblem to NYK existing logo (before changing to this new one). The design of this new logo expresses a sense of unity by merging the group name with the NYK blue Double Wing logo. The Double Wing suggests a dynamic, global view of the world in tandem with the NYK Group spirit, which is a core value at the heart of further strategic business expansion. On March 8-10, 2011, the teams of Export Customer Service, Export Documentation, Import Documentation & Cus-

tomer service, and Cashier conducted a test on Business Continuity Plan (BCP).

The scenario for this testing was based on the assumption -- Office <NO> & System <YES> -- meaning if the

principal office at Surawongse premises is closed and unable to operate as normal due to unusual crisis, how

these departments, under such emergency, keep business running and without disruption at alternate sites, lo-

cated at branch office in Laem Chabang and an affiliate company in Lad Krabang ICD.

Test was done on work processes of respective departments including the jobs that have to interact with the

others. Infrastructures, communication networks, computer tools, telephone and fax lines, both domestically and

internationally, were also on experiment. And, all was done smoothly with some fine-tune on certain areas where

necessary.

On the occasion of President T. Sanada repatriated to Japan, key staff and top management marked their

calendar twice to bid him the warm adieu.

The 1st gathering was for an outdoor activity on Saturday 12/3 so-called, "NYK Golf Master", which is an

internal golf tournament and presently held at 2-month interval among NYK staff, colleagues and sometimes

also joined by the ex-staff. This traditional golf networking has long been held for 70 matches so far. The

2nd was for a Chinese dinner which was arranged in the evening of Thursday 7/4. For this event, it was

also organized in order to welcome new President/Mr. Y. Miyaji and Deputy General Manager/Mr. T. Toyama,

successor of Mr. G. Yasuda, as well as in order to congratulate the new promoted staff.

Sanada san's journey in Thailand spanned over 6 years (2005 to 2011), starting as Director/General Manager

on Multi Liner (Sales) and Logistics Department in April 1, 2005 and then appointed as President in April 1,

2006. During his helm, there were several changes and challenges to the Company, ocean-going business

and world economy.

On Company, the Company had its name renamed to NYK Line (Thailand) in year 2007 and had reaching the

20th year anniversary in 2008. In such year, major CSR activities were conducted and started such as

blood donation, educational books/sport equipment to schools, scholarship to students, medical devices to

hospital, mangrove reforestation, fund-raising through golf tournament with its proceeds (plus additional con-

tribution by the Company) donating to HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Charity Fund. Moreover, there

were also many other projects being implemented like new human resources system, job rotation, outsourcing

operation works, renovation office with new counter service, shared services with affiliated companies, etc.

On shipping business and economic situation, it

was a mixed period of positively brisk cargoes

lifting yet suffering severely bleak results - as a

result of big bubble burst caused by the sub-

prime bout. Nonetheless, no matter the business

was good or bad, Sanada san always cautioned

and inspired staff to render the best efforts and

contribution; to boost revenue and save costs.

And, this was, more or less, lending good to the

Company - enabling to bounce back in a relatively

quick manner from the global crisis 2-3 years ago

as we all faced - thanks to the hard efforts and

collaboration of all staff and fast resilience of

Thai economy, too. In addition, from time to time,

Sanada san kept the organization reorganized,

systemized and optimized so as to develop, sus-

tain and firm the firm continually.

At the dinner party, MD Nattapan S., on behalf of

the staff, thanked you and wished him all the

best. So long!

Time flies so fast and it is time to say good bye to all colleagues in NYK Line Thailand. I had joining

this company in September 2007 and it has been about 3 and a half years for stay here which is very

fruitful and full of experiences that I will never forget

When I moved here initially, I was a little bit anxious because one of the important tasks was to suc-

ceed the jobs transfer of Toyota from Singapore to Thailand. But, it was in fact an unnecessary worry

as there are so many talented and cooperative staffs in NYK Thai who can collaborate to overcome the

hard work and tough situation. Not long, the jobs could be smoothly and successfully carried out

without any problem. For myself, I am very proud to be a member of

NYK Thai even for a short period of time.

I wish you to provide the same support to Mr. Takashi Toyama who

will be my successor effective April 1, 2011.

I look forward to seeing you in the near future and I would like to

send my best wishes for your good health and happiness of your

family.
