Honours Fine Arts - Studio Practice, Arts and Business REGULAR

Continuation in this academic plan requires a cumulative overall average of 60% and a cumulative Fine Arts average of 75%.

Please note that there are two streams within all honours studio practice academic plans (outlined below) in the final year of study: Studio & Studio Practicum. The Studio stream is for students who wish to pursue a career as an artist. The Studio Practicum stream is for students who wish to pursue a career in the arts and in education. Selection of the stream is made at the end of 3B.

Notes: 1. Admission to the Honours Fine Arts - Studio Practice Arts and Business Regular academic plans is by consent of the department at the end of the 1B term. 2. Admission to the 200 level studio courses is by successful completion of FINE 100 and by submission and approval of portfolio of work done in FINE 100 at the end of the 1A term. 3. Students must have successfully completed at least four 200 level studio courses by the end of their 2B term before proceeding to FINE 300. 4. Students must do: at least 2 courses from FINE 224, 225, 226, 274; two from 202, 220, 221, 222, 223, 224, 225, 226, 227, 228, 229, 230, 231, 232, 272, 274. DO NOT assume FINE 224, 225, 226, 274 will be running in the same term (i.e. do not save these 2 courses for your TERM 2B term). 5. Studio stream: admission to FINE 472 is determined by: a. a cumulative FINE Arts average of at least 75%; b. a mark of 75% in each of FINE 300; 301; & 302; and c. a portfolio review at the end of the 3B term evaluated by the Fine Arts faculty 6. Studio Practicum stream: admission to 474 is determined by: a. a cumulative Fine Arts average of at least 75%; and b. a mark of 75% in each of FINE 300; 301; & 302. 7.
