  • Located in the beautiful northern coastal area of San Diego, California, Montecatini specializes in the comprehensive care of females, aged 16 and older, who are struggling with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, and other forms of disordered eating. Since 1991, we have successfully treated hundreds of adolescent girls and women with eating disorders and have become nationally recognized for providing services at the residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels

Our clients play an integral role in the treatment process and participate in all aspects of their care plans. Our intensive, structured, and dynamic program, as well as a low client-to-staff ratio, allows us to deliver the personalized care necessary to help clients truly heal.

    At Montecatini, we believe in treating the mind, body, and spirit. Our holistic approach to treatment addresses the complexities of eating disorders by utilizing several different treatment modalities. We strive to provide a life-changing, positive experience for all of our clients. Montecatini is contracted with most major insurance companies and many plans provide coverage or offer reimbursement for the cost of treatment. In the event that Montecatini is not an in-network provider, or benefits are not available, our intake coordinator may be able to assist in securing a single-case agreement. It is our goal to make sure you receive the maximum benefit possible. We aim to be flexible and helpful.   • Eating disorders are progressive and debilitating illnesses that, when left untreated, have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness. Our multidisciplinary team of professionals utilizes a variety of integrative modalities that are proven effective in addressing the physiological, nutritional, and interpersonal deficits inherent in those who suffer from eating disorders.

    The goal of Montecatini is to provide a beautiful, safe, and nurturing environment with highly trained and supportive staff to help clients navigate the recovery process.   • healing P H P & I O PPartial Hospitalization Program (PHP)Montecatinis partial hospitalization program is designed as a step-down option for clients in residential treatment and those who are unable to sustain their recovery efforts in lower levels of care. Our program offers a multidisciplinary treatment approach to help clients navigate their personal recovery process. Our objective is to restore all of our clients to their optimal level of functioning so that they can lead empowered, healthy lives. Our partial hospital program is offered Monday through Friday and includes supervised meals and snacks, as well as weekly sessions with our primary therapists, dietitians, and psychiatrist. An individual schedule is tailored for each client following the completion of a clinical assessment. The success of our program is a culmination of a respectful, collaborative approach to treatment and a dynamic clinical team.

    Montecatini offers a 6-bed residence for those clients who would like to live in a supportive community while attending treatment.

    Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)Montecatinis intensive outpatient program is designed to address the unique challenges faced by our clients through various group modalities, including dialectical behavior therapy. Clients learn to strengthen their recovery foundation and receive support as they implement these skills into their daily lives.

    Our IOP meets 4 hours per day, 3 to 5 days per week with flexible hours to accommodate work, school, and family obligations. We also offer an evening IOP, which meets 3 evenings a week from 5pm until 8pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

    We consider treatment to be a collaborative effort with active involvement of the clients outpatient therapeutic providers and family members. Our goal is to provide a supportive and nurturing environment where clients can learn, practice, and enhance the skills necessary for recovery. Our overall mission is to help our clients live lives that are not only functional, but joyful as well.
