However, are all honey bees types suitable for honey production? For an answer to this question, I invite you to read this article. Some Honey Bees Don't Tolerate a Lot of Disturbances In this part of the article, I hope to make an overview of two honey bees types . These are the apis florae and the apis dorsata. Why these honey bees types? This question can really be justified. Actually, the bees mentioned earlier do not tolerate a lot of disturbances. In fact, certain honey bees types can completely leave their hive when disturbed. Consequently, it could be said that these bees will not be the best choice for beekeeping. The two types presented in this category do not tolerate the amount of disturbances that readily domesticated bees can bear. Actually, these bees don’t seem to really give one the choice, because the apis dorsata like the apis florae might abandon their hives when disturbed. Consequently, one can imagine how hard it can be to work with bees that can decide to leave the hive. Apis Dorsata… With these honey bees types let’s start with the apis dorsata type, also called rock bee. It is in fact a species of bees that is composed of quite big honeybees, compared to other bees species. Interestingly bees from this type are not likely to create traps made of propolis or glue. One could find the apis dorsata’s hives suspended from stable supports in dense forest. The suspension of these hives meters above the ground can work as a safety measure against honey lovers of bigger size. Now, the Apis Florae The dwarf bee and the apis dorsata share some commonalities. They both can abscond due to disturbances and they construct suspended hives. Propolis can be put on the end of the hive as a trap for other insects. The apis florae also called the dwarf bee is seen as smaller than all the other known honey bees species. Additionally to the fact that the apis florae might abscond because of disturbance, the quantity of honey that could be harvested from the hive is likely to be less than the quantity of honey obtained from a domesticated colony.
